BANGOR, Maine — The only casino now operating in Maine has a new name.

Hollywood Slots in Bangor is officially changing its name Thursday to Hollywood Casino Bangor. Casino officials are also unveiling a new logo at a morning press conference.

The casino is changing its name now that it will soon be offering poker, blackjack and other table gambling games in addition to slot machines. The table games will open to the public on March 16.

      1. No one said i never like the place, what i hate it about it is 9 am cocktail sir cocktail.  They try to get you to buy it and its annoying.  Then i hate going there because there are rude at times

    1. Not according to the majority of the people that voted…or was that the minority…..or does minority only apply to election of a Governor, doesn’t matter, apparently a bunch of people went out and said “We need a Casino” and then a Casino appeared in Bangor.

  2. So, one day soon we will see the downtrodden part of Bangor upon entering the city limits–just like in Atlantic City–

    1. Atlantic City was 100% slums BEFORE the gambling industry.

      Now it’s 99% slums and 1% casino.
