TOPSHAM, Maine — Topsham police charged a Bath woman with operating under the influence after she allegedly caused a crash Friday night.

According to police, Tiffany D. Bruce, 30, of 5 Pinehill Drive, Bath, crossed the center line while driving a car on Route 196 near Bypass Drive. Her vehicle struck head-on a 2003 Ford sport utility vehicle drive by Brian R. Moody, 35, of 125 Katie Lane in Topsham. The crash was reported at 5:32 p.m.

No one was injured, including two passengers — a 10-year-old girl and 35-year-old man — riding in the 2005 Mazda driven by Bruce.

The responding officer, Robert Ramsay, reported both vehicles were totaled as a result of the crash. Bruce was arrested for the Class D charge of operating under the influence of alcohol.

  1. Not only is she a drunk driver, she is also a time traveler. How did the crash happen Friday night? Today is Friday, no?

  2. Why did they not get her for endangerment of the minor 10 year old? Isn’t that a crime as well?

  3. After reading down through the comments I saw something desturbing. Most commenters talked about the date of the accident and did not mention the 10 year old in the car. Are we becoming descentized?
