GUILFORD, Maine — Police were still searching late Sunday for a man they believe robbed a local pharmacy at knife point on Saturday morning.
The suspect was described as a male in his 20s, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing between 185 and 200 pounds. He last was seen wearing a brown Carhartt jumpsuit, sunglasses and a green bandanna.
A Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office dispatcher said a man jumped the pharmacy counter at Rite Aid, demanded drugs and fled the store. It wasn’t immediately clear what was taken.
Sgt. Michael Gould told WABI-TV that a witness, who believed a robbery was taking place, took off in the suspect’s car. When the man came out of the store and saw his vehicle gone, he tried unsuccessfully to steal two other vehicles in the parking lot.
Gould said he eventually took off in a car that was being used by a mail carrier. The vehicle later was abandoned on Harlow Pond Road in Parkman.
The sergeant, who did not return calls to the Bangor Daily News, told WABI-TV that evidence was collected at Rite Aid and from the stolen car.
So whats next we got mail carriers robbing rite aid, is it gonna be milk man stealing milk from other farmers
a witness, who believed a robbery was taking place, took off in the suspect’s car?? more like the get away driver got scared..and took off!
That doesn’t make sense… since when is it okay to steal someone elses car just because you think they are committing a crime?
The car was not actually stolen, just moved to the gas station across the street by a concerned citizen who saw the suspect enter the Pharmacy with a ski mask on.
I was listening to the scanner, the suspect showed up in a stolen truck, they were looking for him before this robbery, they have his name!

Not even close.
The mail carrier was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. The original vehicle used by the thief was a stolen pickup truck (from Corinna) and when he was not able to find his getaway car he tried to steal two other vehicles before taking off with the mail carriers vehicle.
Don’t they have cameras and a photo?
