BANGOR, Maine — A Bangor man is in jail after he assaulted his live-in girlfriend over the weekend, according to police.
John Wilcox, 40, of Bangor is facing a charge of domestic violence assault after an incident at the couple’s Patten Street home Sunday night, Bangor police Sgt. Paul Edwards said.
“Apparently the suspect was angry about a dog that had thrown up on the floor,” the sergeant said.
Before assaulting the woman, Wilcox had gotten into a verbal altercation with her 11-year-old son, and when the woman intervened Wilcox turned his attention to her, Edwards said.
Wilcox was arrested and taken to Penobscot County Jail, where he remained Monday morning, a jail official said. Wilcox faces up to a year in prison if convicted of the Class D charge.
She needs NOT to go back with him- for the sake of her son if nothing else. I hope she doesn’t turn all forgiving.She may choose to live that way, the child has no choice.
Mixing it up with an 11 year old boy and then assaulting his mother over a dog throwing up on the floor…..C’mon “man”, your priorities in life seem to be questionable…..

Had a boyfriend that fed his dog, a yellow lab, a gas station hamburger and that yellow lab turned right around and tossed that burger right on my backpack.
My dog growing up, a pomeranian mix, threw up lots of times.
