BANGOR, Maine — A Medway man who sent threatening telephone messages to his ex-girlfriend was arrested Saturday, police said Monday.

Chris Hyson, 28, had been “making some drawn-out threats” that the woman took seriously, according to Bangor police Sgt. Paul Edwards.

Since Hyson and the woman had been in a relationship, Hyson was charged with domestic violence terrorizing, Edwards said.

Hyson was taken to Penobscot County Jail, where he remained Monday, a jail official said. He faces up to a year in jail if convicted of the Class D offense.
