MILBRIDGE – Francis Anthony Millett, 76, passed away peacefully March 14, 2012. He was born Oct. 30, 1935, in Milbridge, the son of Bartholemew and Nellie (Gay) Millett.
After high school Francis enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he worked as a motion picture operator. He was known for his love of the opera and fondness for music. Francis also enjoyed riding up and down the coast of Maine on West Bus trips with his friends. Francis later became a master electrician and spent many years working in his hometown of Milbridge.
Francis was predeceased by his parents, Bartholemew and Nellie Millett; and his brothers, Bud Millett and Gay Millett. He is survived by his niece, Betty West and her husband, Wayne, of Steuben; great-nieces, Julie Parritt and her husband, Ron, of Steuben and Nicole Wescott and her husband, Chuck, of Clinton; great-great-nieces, Nina and Amber; great-great-nephews, Andrew and Austin; his sister-in-law, Gloria Millett of Milbridge; many cousins and friends.
Francis will be laid to rest in the spring at Evergreen Cemetery, Milbridge. Arrangements by Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, Milbridge.
