BOWDOINHAM, Maine — Traffic on Interstate 295 near Bowdoinham is backed up considerably this morning following a rollover of a tractor trailer truck carrying diesel fuel, according to Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Brett Strout.

The accident was reported at 8:18 a.m. Wednesday near I-295’s Mile 40 marker in the northbound lane. Strout said his deputies and local fire departments were working to clean up a diesel spill and that the Maine State Police were investigating the cause of the crash. No one was seriously injured.

  1. It wasn’t a rollover, but he drove over the guardrail, and deep into the woods; about 250 ft. Quite a wreck.
