LINCOLN – Dale Owen Jordan Sr., husband of Norma (Squiers) Jordan, passed away March 22, 2012, surrounded by his family in Bangor, after a short illness. He was born April 1, 1944, in Chester, the son of Madeline (Libby) and Raymond H. Jordan Sr.
Dale attended schools in Chester and Lincoln. He was the owner of Jordan’s North End Market and worked for Sheridan Smith, Inc. He also was a Humpty Dumpty salesman and worked on heavy equipment for G.E. Goding and the town of Lincoln. The last couple of years he helped Norma deliver mail. Dale loved to go four-wheeling and riding on his pontoon boat at camp on Cambolasse Pond.
In addition to his wife of 47 years, Norma of Lincoln, he is survived by two sons, Dale Jordan Jr. and Christine Knudsen, and Trevor and Pam Jordan; a daughter, Brynn Kimball and Geno Cote, all of Lincoln; six grandchildren, Sierrah Kimball and Deac Smart of Portland, Ethan Kimball, Merissa Jordan, Nicholas Jordan, Victoria Jordan and Lucas Jordan, all of Lincoln; one great-grandson, Lance Smart of Portland; two sisters, Pauline Whitney and Harlan of Chester and Leta King and Ken of Bangor; two brothers, Raymond Jordan Jr. and Jeffrey Jordan and Joleen of Lincoln; a brother-in-law, Earl Squiers and Kathy of Howland; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents.
Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Roy Richardson officiating. Interment will be later in the spring at Lincoln Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lincoln Methodist Church Sunday School. Donations may be left at the funeral home.
