HAMPDEN – Philip David Ramsay, 64, died peacefully Thursday morning, March 22, 2012, in Bangor. He was born Oct. 21, 1947, in Dexter, the son of Richard and Ethelyn (Additon) Ramsay.
He attended Dexter High School and was a member of Alpha Rho Upsilon at Bowdoin College, where he graduated in 1969 with a major in psychology and a minor in German. Phil was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church, Bangor, where he was a lay reader for many years. He loved walking the boardwalk at Bangor City Forest and hiking the many mountains of Mount Desert Island.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Catherine; daughter, Camden; many loving friends and family.
There will be a service 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, in the Bethlehem Chapel, 234 French St., Bangor. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Edythe Dyer Library, 269 Main Road North, Hampden, ME 04444. Messages of condolence and memories may be shared through
