STOCKTON SPRINGS, Maine — A teenage boy from Stockton Springs who was missing overnight on Saturday was found safe on Sunday morning after spending most of the night outside, according to the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office.
Adam Powell, 16, reportedly left his Harris Road residence at 6:30 p.m. Saturday wearing a T-shirt, pants and loafers. His mother called officials to ask for help looking for him, said Deputy David Mushrall of the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office.
“The concerns were with the temperature,” he said.
Temperatures dipped to 30 degrees Fahrenheit overnight, according to the weather website wunderground.com.
Mushrall said Powell was found walking down a road in Stockton Springs by a friend of his who then called police. An ambulance crew checked him out and determined that the teen was OK.
“He’s been returned to his parents,” Mushrall said.
Officials from the Maine Warden Service and the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office searched for Powell overnight, aided by a Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office deputy who brought a dog.
“He was outside, from what we could tell, for the majority of the night,” Mushrall said.
He did not comment about why Powell had left his home and stayed out all night.

So happy he was found and ok.
I’m sure he loves the picture they used for him.
What’s wrong with the picture?
I thought the exact same thing – exactly what is wrong with his picture??
Who cares what his picture looks like? If he ran away, he deserves it. If something else prevented him from going home, I hardly think he cares.
Sometimes one needs to think before, they speak about things one doesn’t understand.
Thank god he is found, now if they just could find little ayla, that would make the day
Sadly, they will find her, but not with this good of an ending.
I kind of figured that out at the beginning, i just wish Justin and the other two will talk and tell them where they put her body or tell them where she is. Its getting to the point that they need to crack soon
