BANGOR, Maine — An intoxicated man yelling profanities Friday night caught the attention of Bangor police Officer Russ Twadell, who arrested him after a short chase that ended when the man ran into a shrub and fell, Sgt. Paul Edwards Monday.
Jack Fraser, 35, of Bangor, who is barred from drinking by court order, was noticed at around 8:45 p.m. in the area of South Park and French streets. When Twadell arrived, Fraser was facedown on the ground but quickly got up and took off running up French Street, the sergeant said.
Inside Fraser’s backpack were 71 assorted CDs, a laptop computer, various clothing and personal items.
“Upon further investigation it was determined that the laptop and some of the personal items belonged to a Bangor woman whose van was recently burglarized on Center Street,” Edwards said. “Those items were returned to her.”
The CDs and other items remain in evidence.
Fraser was arrested and charged with burglary to a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property, violating his bail conditions and obstructing government administration.
“If anyone was victim to any other car burglaries, please report it as we might have some of your property,” Edwards said. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)

I’d feel some sympathy for an individual like Mr. Fraser if he was sober and he’d stolen to feed himself or his family, but CDs and personal electronics are *not* necessities of life. Sounds like another ne’er do well who believes that others’ property belongs to him as well(the entitlement mentality). Someday, hopefully, he’ll grow up and accept responsibility for the consequences of his own actions.

Since when is it okay to steal period? Its not okay to steal from anyone for anything sober or drunk!
I never said that I thought that stealing someone’s property was OK because it’s wrong and we all know it. I merely said that I could feel some sympathy if he had taken food and was sober.
Well seeing that thier are many places around Bangor to get a free meal . Places to get free food etc. All one has to do is ask. Swallow your pride a bit its better than stealing.
my car doors don’t lock, nothing but trash inside, but some looser got in it last night and left the sunroof open
Wht Trash trifecta of the day, Shrubs, Drunk, Stolen Mercahndise
and on top of it he hopped into the wrong “Getaway Shrub”. But at least it’s a green vehicle. Good for the environment.

The police will be getting calls like: “Officer, my 65” flat screen TV, the foosball table, and the mini-fridge are missing from my 1984 Honda Civic. Did ya find anything like that? If not, I’d like to file a report please.
Man apprehended by a bush, arrested by an officer. This should garruntee his safety in jail, the other inmates will be laughing to hard to harm him.Darwin award nominee.
nobody likes overgrown bush. gotta keep that trimmed up.
A robbery thwarting shrubbery!
Nee! Nee! Nee! Nee!
Is there something in the drinking water in Bangor????
No one in Bangor drinks H2O anymore…..Shrub = 1 vs: Drunken thief = 0…….
Dude was bushwhacked !
someone pour a beer on that bushes roots. It earned it!
Another “OUTSTANDING” Bangor resident…
I just can’t imagine the excitement of Bangor and Brewer PD’s when Friday and Saturday night rolls around!
I guess he is proving the “share the wealth” ideals promoted by this administration.
Those meddling shrubs!! Next time, I’ll just run them over with the Mystery Machine.
Now he looks like a real winner.
He must have been bushed. whaaa whaaa whaaa : )
Did someone say “Shrubbery”? See now, if it just had a two level effect with a little path running down the middle he could have gotten away. Darn Bangor and it’s inferior shrubbery! ha ha http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZvsGdJP3ng
If he escapes from jail, entice him with a free meal coupon for Bugab00 Steak House. A talking tree will out do a shrub anytime.
Why do people leave valuables in their cars, locked or not? With airbags, cat converters, complete headlite assemblies, GPS units stolen all the time, why not take that camera or laptop inside with you? Times have changed. Be proactive.
OK, I’ll say it. Another theft directly related to…(here it comes)…BATH SALTS!
Fraser was arrested and charged with burglary to a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property, violating his bail conditions, but is a top notch line cook at Governors.
These criminals continue to get more stupid all the time…….
court orders work so well… but the court sure does make some revenue in the end
God, I hope I’m the first to get this in here:
IT’S BUSH’S FAULT!!
(Waited a looooong time for these stars to align……..)
