PORTLAND, Maine — The Portland International Jetport is advising all passengers traveling between 3 and 8.30 p.m. Friday, March 30, to be at the jetport two hours before their departure time and to check with their airline for any updates in departure times.
Jetport Director Paul Bradbury said this was advisable in light of the jetport’s typical busy Friday flight schedule and the arrival of President Barack Obama late in the afternoon.
Obama is visiting Portland to attend fundraising and campaign events.
Bradbury said anyone picking up passengers from the jetport Friday afternoon also should check with airlines for arrival times.
They left out that TSA is asking you to shower because they will be groping you twice due to the President’s visit.
Also make sure that you allow for being stuck on a taxiway for an hour and a half waiting for take-off strapped into your seat while the airport is secured for the president’s landing.
Happened to me two years ago in Detroit………..with no warning.
It’s a shame that such strict security is needed for the protection of any president. I’m sure it’s no fun being delayed like that in an airplane for such a long time.

Billionaire Warren Sussman, donor to the political party and fiance of Chellie Pingree, a democrat represenative and champion of those being stepped on by the big bad 1%. She dates on of those guys. Ted Turner, huge donor to the democrats and a billionaire. Millionaire actors like Sean Penn and Matt Damon perhaps? Heck, even Obama is a millionaire and will only see his fortune grow when he leaves office. And lets not forget those Democrat Politicians on the side of the people who are also extremely wealthy like anyone named Kennedy, Al Gore and John Edwards.
The portland airport is a freaking wreck. I was there Thursday. Everything is changed around, and the signage has not been updated. This day or any day, plan on extra time to figure it out.
