BANGOR – Kenneth M. Wilson, 61, died March 28, 2012, surrounded by his loving family at a local hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born April 26, 1950, in Old Town, son of Russell and Mary (McNamara) Wilson.
Ken was employed by Bangor Mental Health Institute for 23 years before his retirement. He was a lover of music and enjoyed playing his guitar, loving life and learning about history, and most importantly was a great family man, enjoying spending time with his loving wife, children and grandchildren.
Ken is survived by his wife of 33 years, Catherine (Lavoie) Wilson; four children, Jeremy Wilson and his wife, Amy, Sarah Wilson, Jenny and her husband, Jherad Welch, and Kenneth Wilson II and his wife, Misty; 11 very special grandchildren, Izaak, Isis, Indakah, Jaden, Kenneth III, Rebecca, Dianna, Cathryn, Noella, Phoebe and Hazel; sister, Susan Jording; brother, Weymouth Wilson; loving nephew, Jason Jording; and numerous other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held
11 a.m. Monday, April 2, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. Friends may call 10 a.m. until time of the service Monday. Spring interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Orono. Condolences to the family may be expressed at
