ELLSWORTH, Maine — Hancock County police have arrested two people in connection with an apparent home invasion in February during which a 60-year-old Stonington woman was assaulted.

Morris Young, 25, of Bar Harbor and Catherine Carton, 33, of Sedgwick were arrested last Friday and are facing charges of Class A robbery and Class B burglary, both felony offenses.

Detective Alan Brown with the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department declined to provide additional details on Monday except to say that police believe the pair were attempting to steal prescription narcotics.

The incident happened around 5:40 a.m. on Feb. 9 at Stonington Manor on Route 15A. At the time, police said a man entered the apartment and reportedly struck the resident several times in the face before fleeing in a car. The victim was treated at Blue Hill Memorial Hospital and later released.

Police credited the public with helping them investigate the incident but are still seeking additional information. Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call Detective Alan Brown at 667-7575 or Detective Stephen McFarland at 667-4621.

    1.  I also, think Kate needs to grow up. But Kate tends to blame everyone but Kate, for her problems.

  2. poor old biddy, they should chain him to the floor and let her hit him a couple times in the face with a brick or a hammer….  Flatten that big doppey nose out so he can’t snort any more trash.
