WARREN, Maine — Michael York remained the winner of a seat on the Board of Selectmen after a recount Monday evening.

On March 26, York was declared the winner 177-173 over incumbent Wayne Luce. Luce asked for a recount but the vote count remained the same after that recount.

York had said the town needed a strong board to counter a strong town manager.

York was one of two selectmen elected March 26 in Warren, both unseating incumbents.

Ed LaFlamme defeated incumbent Christine Wakely 181-169.
