SARGENTVILLE – James F. Pert, 86, died March 31, 2012, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Nov. 12, 1925, in Sedgwick, son of James E. and Marion (Wood) Pert.
James served in the U.S. Army during World War II at Battle of the Bulge. He was an extremely hard worker, loved his pets and enjoyed his citizens band radio.
He is survived by sons, David J. Pert of Sargentville, and Alan J. Pert and wife, Hope, of Brooklin; daughter, Sheila LaGasse and husband, Lenny, of Bucksport; grandchildren, Stephen B. Fill and wife, Johanna, of Sedgwick, Michelle Pert of Bucksport, Chris Pert and wife, Raelene, of Brooklin, and Seth and Elisha Davenport of Bucksport; great-grandchildren, Amanda Fill, Chris and Anne Pert; great-great-grandchild, Matthew Stephen Tobey; many nieces and nephews; and a good friend, Kerry Hurd. He was predeceased by his wife, Loraine; a brother and a sister.
A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, April 5, at Forest Home Cemetery, Sargentville, with the Rev. George Springer officiating. Arrangements by Jordan-Fernald, 141 South St., Blue Hill. Condolences may be expressed at
