PORTLAND, Maine — A toddler who disappeared from her father’s home in December in Waterville is turning 2 years old.
The family of Ayla Reynolds will mark the occasion with balloons and birthday cake during a vigil Wednesday evening for the missing girl in Portland’s Monument Square. The event is being sponsored by the family of mother Trista Reynolds and nonprofit LostNMissing Inc.
Police have been searching for Ayla but so far, there has been no sign of her and no arrests.
Jeff Hanson, Ayla’s step-grandfather, says that in addition to refreshments there will be music including Maroon 5’s “Moves Like Jagger,” a song to which Ayla liked to dance to.
The key to finding Ayla starts and ends at 29 Violette Avenue, Waterville Maine.
Mainers are being asked to search their own property today looking for Ayla or clues to her disappearance. I suppose this may have some benefit, but Maine is a big place with most of it not being peoples’ private property.
If Ayla is found alive, there should be an special day and event held for her.
Makes me want to throw-up to see her ‘grief-stricken’ parents show up at a celebration for their ‘missing’ daughter when they know dang well where she is…..

I saw Ayla’s mother on the news the other day, and she said that the DePiertro’s are welcome to come to the party. She seems to be completely oblivious to the most likely fate her daughter has suffered while in DePiertro’s hands.
