PRESQUE ISLE – Roberta M. York, 73, passed away Monday, April 2, 2012, at her residence. She was born Oct. 2, 1938, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Beecher and Adeline (Parks) Ambrose.
Roberta worked at McCain Foods for 25 years. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, and playing bingo.
She is survived by a brother, Clayton Ambrose of Columbia, Tenn.; three sisters, Julia Belanger of Presque Isle, Betty Eaton of Waterbury, Conn., and Freda Rand of Washburn; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Isaac “Ike” York Jr., in 2010.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, April 7, with Pastor Kenneth Fox officiating. Interment will be later this spring at Castle Hill Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at
