The tea party may have won Republicans the House of Representatives in 2010, but in 2012, it’s looking like it could help Democrats retain the White House.

Now nearly three years old, the tea party has fallen out of favor with Americans and Democrats are prepared to use it against Republicans in this year’s elections.

A recent Fox News poll showed just 30 percent of Americans had a favorable view of the tea party, compared with 51 percent who viewed it unfavorably.

A recent Washington Post/ABC News poll may be more illustrative, though. It showed Americans were more evenly split on the tea party, with 44 percent supporting it and 43 percent opposing it. But just 15 percent of Americans supported the tea party “strongly,” while many more — 26 percent — were “strongly” opposed to it.

That suggests opposition to the tea party is more strident than the tea party itself, which means the movement may be doing the GOP more harm than good.

The numbers are similar to the ones we saw during the health-care debate, when both sides had about the same number of supporters, but the opponents were much more motivated.

In addition, the fervor and enthusiasm spurred by the tea party in 2010 appears to have dissipated, with no major tea party rallies taking place this year and fewer Republican candidates latching on to the label. On the presidential campaign trail, the tea party is rarely mentioned.

In contrast, Democrats are actually starting to wield the tea party label as a tool in their campaigns.

“I’m Bill Pascrell, and this is why I’m running: To stop the tea party,” the Democratic congressman from New Jersey says in a new ad.

The tea party is also being used against Reps. Joe Walsh (R-Ill.) and Ann Marie Buerkle (R-N.Y.), two top tea partiers in tough districts for the GOP, and was used in ads run by special election-winning Rep. Suzanne Bonamici (D-Ore.) earlier this year.

Democrats say the issue works for them as they continue to define a Republican Party whose brand is already struggling.

“It’s no longer viewed as a populist, grass-roots organization, but a dangerous group with extremist views that don’t reflect the mainstream values of America’s middle class,” Democratic media strategist John Lapp said.

The tea party was mostly a blessing for Republicans in 2010. Some less-electable tea party candidates beat Republican establishment candidates in primaries and went on to defeat in the general election. But on the whole, the tea party spurred enthusiasm against President Obama and helped Republicans overcome an emerging problem with their own brand — a problem that persists until today. The Washington Post/ABC poll showed just 40 percent of Americans have a favorable view of the GOP, a new low.

Some Republicans say the tea party’s decline is largely due to what made it such a powerful force to begin with: a grass-roots emphasis and lack of infrastructure.

“Some of the negatives come out of the fact that there isn’t anyone defending the tea party as a political party,” said GOP strategist Chris LaCivita. “They have as many factions as they do members, and speaking behind a cohesive central message is foreign to who they are, not only as a ‘party,’ but what they believe in.”

GOP strategist Brian Donahue said the Democrats’ strategy is “old hat.” And because the movement isn’t front and center anymore, it won’t matter as much come election time.

“The issues initially associated with the tea party movement have become more broadly embraced by the electorate at large, making the tea party less relevant than in 2010,” Donahue said.

  1. The Tea Party is on it’s way out…..It’s extreme and, providing what our governor’s actions have been, unpredictable and untrustworthy.   Maine has lost, not only our senior senator, but a focused, constituent based representative.   Margret Chase Smith, would be ashamed that we lost a woman senator, so good……but yet so frustrated.   She left because of political polarization…    The Tea Party,   is certainly a catalyst, and contributor to our losing out.

What this party does not understand is;   that extremism, forcing, cajoling…..and in this governor’s regard;  deception and withholding information  is going to lead to a catastrophic political crash,   and the result will take many non-tea party republicans with them.

    1. How they first claimed they were  non-partisan then decided that they get to decide who is a RINO, needs to be a part of this discussion.

      1. They are non  partisan.. its the 2009 fake tea parties who are PACS that are run by the GOP… TPP, TPE, TPN, theteaparty.net TPoA, teaparty.org all fakes….  the real tea party was the libertarian movement started in 2007 in New England and is still going strong.

    2. I guess I better start reading/viewing whatever it is that a majority of people are, because I just don’t see how the tea party is “extreme”

        1. Why is it that when I ask questions like this no one can ever answer them? Hey, maybe the tea party is extreme, but the tea party that I am familiar with is not. I am simply trying to figure out why everybody else seems to think they are.

          1.  Oh, the Tea Party’s extremism is proved by the most elementary form of logic, ‘Bandar-logic’: “We all say so, and so it must be true.”

          2. Like I said in a seperate posts. Its all the rapes, and arrests, public defacations. Group leaders asking the victims not to report the rapes. Tea party is extreme, OWS is just a bunch of peace loving, dirty hippies celebrating diversity

          3. You just answered your own question:  your first post said “because I just don’t see how the tea party is extreme”…..and yet in this post you say: “Hey, maybe the teaparty is extreme…”

You don’t need to view anything to understand the extremities of the party.   All you need to do is research the behavior of this governor,  an ardent Tea Party member, and understand just how he comports himself.   You DO NOT lie to a group of people about a Forbes magazine analysis of the state;  you DO NOT threaten to cut education spending if your proposal does not pass;  you DO NOT bully yourself into the legislative process and sit your butt down in their hearing room, while they talk about your proposal.    There’s three of the things I mentioned:  untrustworty, threatening, and cajole or intimidate. All of these traits, politically, and probably socially,……. are extreme

This is just one Tea Party member, and there are more examples that can be mentioned that I did not, such as withholding information.

      1. I’ve seen all that is necessary.   OWS  is in charge of nothing……..LePage is the Governor of this state,  you are the one who needs to prepare for “nothing  yet”…

  2. This is some truly great spin;

““Some of the negatives come out of the fact that there isn’t anyone defending the tea party as a political party,” said GOP strategist Chris LaCivita. “They have as many factions as they do members, and speaking behind a cohesive central message is foreign to who they are, not only as a ‘party,’ but what they believe in.”

    That deserves a Grammy !
What a wonderful way to admit that your Party is rudderless and fast becoming irrelevant.

” as many factions as they do members ” … so,  it has no direction, plans or solutions
at least none that have not already been tried and failed.
    Look at the record.

To be as polite as possible about it,  that is called usually called anarchy, if not worse.
If they can’t even run a their own Caucuses what more do you need to know ?

Lost, confused, gullible and can’t compromise; VOTE GOP !!!!

So, welcome to The Big Tent.
But watch your step, please excuse the clowns, the mess and that bad smell.
It’s just to be expected with all these leaderless elephants.

    1. When you have wingnuts like Bachmann spewing the GOP -Tea Party rants, no wonder they are falling by the wayside!!!!

  3.      It’ll be curious to see where the “tea party” branded politicians  will fall out after they’ve been chasing their “vote”.

  4. It was about a year ago when Fox News decided to distance themselves from the Tea Party. The darling of the Tea Party Glen Beck had seen an exodus of advertisers and a plummeting in the ratings. His show was soon canceled. On the Republican Presidential Debates we saw candidates appearing to be running more for the Presidency of the Tea Party rather then the Presidency of The United States. In one debate a candidate was asked what should be done if a very sick patient appeared in a hospital emergency room without insurance and before the candidate could answer a voice from the audience yelled, “let him die”, the audience actually applauded. Tea Party members took pride in wearing pajamas that looked as if they were made out of American Flags, holding signs proclaiming that they were “REAL PATRIOTS” , ”REAL AMERICANS” , and professing a love of The US Constitution but then turned around and attempted to deny rights to those who had a differing ideology then they did. As the year went on it was almost a daily event to see less and less tea party supporters voicing their opinions on message boards such as this one. Granted there are still a few hardcore tea party posters still trying to justify the actions of politicians who have shown themselves to be in the pocket of special interest, but they grow fewer by the day. Selfishness, being self-centered, bigotry and hate have never been things most  Americans have taken pride in. For the Tea Party they were stock in trade. The Republican Party hitched their wagon to the tea party star and in November they will pay the price for that action.

    1. Fox news has never been a friend of the REAL tea party which is gaining in numbers while you folks pretend the lady in the photo (Martin) is the real tea party, when she’s just a GOP PAC that steals money from people.

      1. Please dont ask a liberal to back up the things they say. It would require facts and logic which frightens them.

Most of them support a group of rapists and various other criminals, so they view any group that doesnt commit various crimes to be “extreme”

  5. The Tea Party and Republicans have become extreme radicals with their War on Women.  Bombing Planned Parenthood Buildings. Time to clean house and vote both out of office.

    1. War on women? Can you explain? Can you also explain how they have become extreme radicals?

      1.  You won’t get anywhere with these radicals.  The Tea Party stands for Constitutional freedom and moral decency, and look at all these posters calling it “extreme.”  Those left of center, who are by far the majority in America, are the true extremists, and this country will probably soon pay for their folly.  They elect politicians just like themselves, and they push constantly an agenda for the “right” to live immoral lives, and look at the mess we’re in.  The prophecy of the Bible where it says the people call evil good, and good evil, is being played out strongly in America these days.

        1. You have blinderson if you can’t see that the Tea Party is made up of fragmented extremists.  As for your Biblical prophecy, it’s coming true for the Tea party and their fellow travelers.

        2. I love the humor and especially how you claim morality and patriotism as belonging to only you, a crew which believes corporations will be leading you to the Promised Land?

You speak of Constitutional freedom yet you forget this country was founded on civil disobedience, the right to speak one’s mind and the separation of church and state. You shouldn’t be so surprised why many now want “freedom from religion.”

After a thousand years of religious reign which history calls the dark ages you dare imply that by using the same documentation today the outcome will somehow be different?

          1. That civil disobedience that you so freely use to make you point was against an ever growing , overbearing , rule making , taxing and spending, government much like the one we have now.  How ironic !

          2. Times change my friend and those who are overbearing and rule over us aren’t the government, they are the Owners, it is they who control our politicians and corporations. They are the ones who want us to believe we have choice. Until you open your eyes and understand this you’re simply tilting at windmills.

          3.  I don’t know which history books you’ve been reading, but usually history records the Dark Ages as lasting about 500 years, from the disintegration of the Roman Empire, until about the year 1000.  The Roman Empire fell apart during a combination of a large decline in moral standards, and with the existence of a large, oppressive government, conditions in which we are living in the United States at the present time.  The only glue which held Western civilization together during the Dark Ages was the light of the Catholic Faith.

The later 500 years of what you refer to as the Dark Ages (ca. 1000-1500), is actually known to history as the Middle Ages.  Within the Catholic Church, they are known as the Ages of Faith.  That’s when most of Europe was converted to Catholicism, and most people lived their lives as they should be lived, with proper worship of God and the desire for salvation of souls as the most important aspects of their lives.

The true dark ages have been in effect for the past 500 years.  They began with the advent of Martin Luther and Protestantism in the 16th century.  Luther arrogantly declared that the Bible, and not the Catholic Church (which was founded by the God-man, Jesus Christ, and which is the Church which gave us the Bible in the first place), was to be the supreme authority in matters of faith.  Luther taught that anyone should be able to read the Bible and interpret it as they saw it to be fit.  This, of course, led people to believe in anything they wanted, as opposed to believing in God’s truth, which was preserved in the teachings of the Catholic Church.

Because of Luther’s legacy, each generation succeeding from his time has had a greater percentage of people who reject God, or who believe somewhat, but live as though they do not believe at all.  That is no surprise.  It is a logical outcome that if you have a society that believes in anything, you will eventually get a society that believes in nothing.  That is where we are today in the USA, and most of the Western world.  The only way we will be able to get back on track is if we embrace the truth of the teachings of the Catholic Church.  Since that is unlikely to happen without a major divine intervention, we will probably keep going on our way to societal disintegration and upheaval.

          4. You must be reading those books from Texas. Spin it any way
you want, the fact of the matter is the Church is responsible for more death and destruction than all the armies that have ever existed. When you speak of the light of the Church are you referring to the burning of so called witches?

I bet you will find that more people reject organized religion than God. I for one believe in a higher power but it is the extreme followers of Religions (fundamentalism of any kind) that scare the hell out of me. All that love and understanding they profess has a way of turning lethal as soon as they walk out the church doors. What you speak of can easily be termed “The American Taliban” After you cut through all the BS, it’s always been “join us or burn in hell for eternity.”

          5.  You’ve been reading fairy tale history books if you believe that the Catholic Church is responsible for so much death and destruction.  History is full of examples of how those who reject God are the most responsible for death (Communism, Naziism, for prime examples).  You are just living by the mantra that man has the right to choose as he believes.  God gives us the choice of living by his rules, or spending eternity in a place where he will not force you to be with him.  Our choice, but a choice that is important for all eternity.

          6. I prefer to live by the rules of a democratic society and not just the rules promulgated by an aging, patriarchal, autocracy which claims to be “the true faith”.  Incidently, I’m a lifelong Protestant needing no intervention between myself and God other than the man who left earth 2000 years ago (not in Rome, Salt Lake city, or any church).

          7. Wow.  Do you really blame “the nouveau dark ages” on Maritn Luther?  For calling out the Catholic Church’s drift away from the “true faith” they claimed to espouse?  As the first successful protester against any criticism however valid that was suppressed by the Inquistion, etc.?  The Catholic Church which only survived becasue of it’s unholy alliance with the autocratic governements of the time as The State Church?  I prefer to consider the intervening 500 years since Luther and others as a continuation of the age of elightenment.

The Catholic church currently is regressing into it’s former state of ultraconservatism, driftin even further away from the real true faith.  Any reinstitution of the proposed theocracy advocated here and elsewhere is to be fervently resisted.  And that starts with not voting for candidates who advocate this regression.

          8.  It’s not possible for the Catholic Church to “drift away from the true faith.”  If you believe that, then you have to acknowledge that Jesus lied when he said that the gates of hell would never prevail against his church.

The Catholic Church did not survive the Protestant Rebellion because it was a “state church.”  The Catholic Church was opposed by many kings over the past 2000 years, for the fact that it was willing to call the rulers out when they (frequently) disobeyed Catholic teaching, even while they professed themselves to be Catholic.  Truly Catholic kings did promote the Catholic Church, but it was for the good of their subjects.

The “state church” label certainly applied to Protestantism, however.  That concept was what made Protestantism work in the beginning and retain its foothold.  One of Luther’s key teachings is that he said that kings had the right to choose their own belief in religion, yet their subjects had to believe in the same manner as the king.  Of course, irreligious kings lapped this up, and defended Luther.  The Catholic Church also held a lot of real estate in Europe at the time, as many Catholics who died had willed their land to the Church over a period of nearly 1500 years.  The unscrupulous kings who discarded the true Catholic faith in order to follow their own man-made beliefs were covetous of Catholic property.  Thus, they banned the practice of the Catholic faith within their realms, and then confiscated Catholic property.  So not only did they gain more power over their subjects by forcing them to follow a new false religion, they greatly increased their personal wealth at the expense of the Catholic Church.

The Catholic Church is also not “regressing to its former ultra-conservatism.”  Its teaching remains the same as it has been for the past 2000 years; it’s always been ultraconservative.  But that is not surprising.  The most ultraconservative man who ever walked this earth was Jesus Christ, and Catholic teaching is his own teaching.  It is the duty of the world to conform to that teaching, not the duty of the Catholic Church to give in to every new whim of human immorality or false religious teaching.

          9. You need to reread a lot of history.
Constantine made Christianity the State Church or it may not have survived.
The Church morphed a lot of beliefs and policies from their origins including celibate priests (a matter of rentention of property), profligate ownership of propety on the first place, politiczation of the position of Pope (heard of the Borgias, et al?), sale of indulgencies, even fish fasts on Fridays, etc., etc.
As for policies of ther various State churches, Catholicism has always led the way (speking of power over their subjects).  The founding fathers were very familiar with the downside of State Churches of all stripes, hence the separation of church and state.
Christ was acutally quite liberal.  He didn’t really form the Christian Church,  Paul and Peter did.  Christ did want to reform (note that word) Judaism.

Every new whim of human immorality or false relgious teaching?  Please.  it’s been a long time since the Church had a monopoly of either.

I appreciate your need to continue to rationalize the authoraty and infalibility of the Catholic Church and it’s all too often autocratic leaders, but the Emporer often has no clothes.  You mayconsider me immoral and a heretic but your claims have no foundation.

    2. The war on women is happening at OWS events, where if a woman shows up, she gets raped.

  6. Whatever the tea party has become (and that is hard to define on any given day) they have only themselves to blame as they continue to purify the party and primary those who are not extreme enough to be deemed members of this dangerous regime.

This ongoing process came to its climax in 2010. It became all too clear that their ideology was more about extreme values than actually moving the country forward in any positive direction.

Though many true patriots were duped into believing that they were going to create smaller government, they didn’t realize it would become smaller by turning all government functions over to corporate control and privatizing everything.

As we approach the Nov. elections we see many who were long time members of the GOP stepping away from this bunch. This fissure will continue.  By the time the election arrives the tea party will be swinging in the wind by themselves as the proverbial noose of extremism tightens around the party’s neck.

The demise is inevitable; but we must remain vigilant and mindful that at the heart of this extreme bunch are the Neo-Cons, who will only slip away into the night like the pathetic cowards they are and will morph into another extreme ruse.

As I type this and listen to the “Easter fireworks” going off all around me it is just one more sign how completely off course and how extremely misguided their ideas are to make us more prosperous.

    1. By looking at what has happened in this country in the past three years it has become clearer that the ” anything goes ” liberal mentality has to stop. We cannot continue on the path of self distruction that has and is taking place in Washington . This is all under the leadership of a very liberal president I might add !  But to re focus on the article , there are extremists ( as you have made so clear ) in every political party.

      1. You miss the subtle point that I’m shilling for neither party above, though one hardly needs to be a brain surgeon to realize that given the extremely poor candidates put forth by the Republican Party they have doomed themselves to defeat before the election starts. I love how you berate liberals, being that Jesus was a liberal. I bet had you lived during that time you would have been one nailing him to the cross?

  7. My dad always told me “if you give some people enough rope they will hang themselves” .

  8. The Tea Party Movement gained national attention in the summer of 2009 when organized protests occurred at Congressional “town hall” meetings that discussed healthcare reform.  While promoted as a spontaneous “grassroots” movement, many of the activities of Tea Party groups were organized by corporate lobbying groups…   1 Financial support ; 2 Media support  ; (including FOX) ; 3 Tax Day Tea Party protests ; 4 Articles and resources      http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Tea_Party

The Tea Party movement: deluded and inspired by billionaires –   By funding numerous rightwing organisations, the mega-rich Koch brothers have duped millions into supporting big business…    by George Monbiot      guardian.co.uk
The Tea Party movement is remarkable in two respects. It is one of the biggest exercises in false consciousness the world has seen – and the biggest Astroturf operation in history. These accomplishments are closely related.               An Astroturf campaign is a fake grassroots movement: it purports to be a spontaneous uprising of concerned citizens, but in reality it is founded and funded by elite interests. Some Astroturf campaigns have no grassroots component at all. Others catalyze and direct real mobilizations. The Tea Party belongs in the second category. It is mostly composed of passionate, well-meaning people who think they are fighting elite power, unaware that they have been organized by the very interests they believe they are confronting. We now have powerful evidence that the movement was established and has been guided with the help of money from billionaires and big business. Much of this money, as well as much of the strategy and staffing, were provided by two brothers (…)

      1. In order to have astroturf someone has to be paid… there is no money coming to the real tea party.

  9. I’m contacting every Nevada assemblymen and state senator to give us back our WRITE-IN BALLOT by November so we can write in RON PAUL as President. YOU NEED TO DO THE SAME IN YOUR STATE. It’s only right. Paul’s the only candidate who will save America. A vote for Obama, Romney, Santorum, or Gingrich is a vote for the continued communization of this ONCE-FREE country. All four of these demons belong to the Council On Foreign Relations, America’s shadow government. Visit The John Birch Society – the barometer of what’s really Conservative (neocons aren’t) – to learn more about the quasi-communistic CFR: http://jbs.org/. The CFR is an organization dedicated to bringing America under the control of the United Nations. But they have to eliminate our Constitution first. Which they’ve already done in part by ramming through the Detainee Security Act (NDAA) which effectively scrapped the Bill Of Rights, THAT PART OF THE CONSTITUTION THAT MADE AMERICA A FREE COUNTRY. Research it if you don’t believe me. REAL CHRISTIANS AND REAL AMERICAN CONSERVATIVES WANT ONLY RON PAUL AS AMERICA’S NEXT PRESIDENT.

DEAN BERRY MINISTRIES: “When a government outlaws ‘terrorism’, they’re planning something for which ‘terrorism’ is the only recourse. Obviously.”

  10. Labeled the TEA Party, this group of PATRIOTIC  Americans simply have stood for “Taxed Enough Already,” from the beginning, but writers of articles such as this have tried and are still trying to discount their leverage by calling them extremists, which they are not, but the “Occupier” group, having shown its true,  violent, lack of respect  for America colors seems to  get a free pass.

Some day, we might discover that our senior senator  decided not to run for other reasons, rusjan, knowing that her husband is under investigation for other things or because she just did not want to face the” joining up with Obama” questions.

Chaos in America is what the true extremists(LEFTISTS) want, and their Community- Organizer- in- Chief is doing all he can to perpetuate it.
May everyone soon realize that God is still in control, and whoever is in leadership is there only because He has allowed it.
Blessings to all on this Resurrection Day, because “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God,”–  He died for each one of us, took Sin upon Himself, then rose from the grave victoriously.

    1. I seem to remember that the Tea Partiers were the ones who wouldn’t let anyone talk at  those “town meeting” , made sure they were carrying their guns and screaming and hollering..that was a show of respect? Many of profess to be very religious and I’m sure are sitting in the front pew todat o make sure everyons see just how good a Christian they are. After that, they will go home and rail about how the poor are ruining out economy;how they are taking the very money used to buy food right out of their mouths;how they’re lazy and don’t want to work; how they are stealing our votes! Not very Christian to me. However, it will be a liberal who will defend your right to do so, rather than to try  to stop your right to do so,to make sure that your right to vote is not infringed on; to make sure that big business doesn’t destroy our environment, and many other things that the Right supports. And lastly the word compromise, the most important part of a democracy is not a “four letter”to them.

      1. If you really believe what you just wrote then perhaps you shoud join me in church this morning as I put my trust and faith in God instead of a vote seeking politician. Perhaps then you will notice that the majority of the folks there are financially strapped , living on small incomes , retirement pensions , social security, disability etc.  There won’t be that many financially rich “right wingers” in church today as they may believe they have more important things to do. There won’t be many career politicians there unless they are running for reelection and their publicity agents have determined it might be good for a few votes . Who you will see are folks who donate a significant portion of their small incomes to the church which will then use it to feed and cloth the needy.  They will also feed those who are lazy and not willing to work without question. Who you will see there are responsable citizens who vote , help their neighbors , treat their guns  ( if they own any ) with care and respect, don’t abuse alcohol or drugs and really care that their government is spending their children and grandchildren into bankruptcy ! You will see many veterans who actually fought for the freedoms you so freely abuse. You may even notice that the liberals you claim defend our rights are the same liberals who demonstrated against our military and spat upon those of us returning from war not that many years age. And finally , though you may scoff , I will continue to pray for your good health and prosperity.  God bless you !

      2. Yes we were very disrespectful.. we yelled a bit… but we didn’t murder anyone like they do at OWS rallies… would you have liked that better?

    2. Wrong… View the about page on this website for what we stand for http://www.nhteapartycoalition.org/tea/2012/03/20/soros-cia-behind-imported-revolutions/

    3. There is a difference between believing in stated rhetoric and making positive change. How PATRIOTIC is it to allow corporations to run our lives? I want government out of my life as well, but to privatize everything is no different and much worse than the government you rail about. While your group continues to insist all should be armed to the teeth and change laws that blur the lines between self-defense and murder it is you who bring chaos. God, Guns, hate and intolerance seems to be your PATRIOTIC message. Happy Easter.

      P.S. Jesus was a liberal.

  11. Wow. Maybe its all the arrests, public defacations, and of course, the rapes. Oh wait, thats OWS.

  12. Is this a joke? That is not a tea party in the photo but a GOP PAC and not recognized by the real tea party that started in 2007…. there are a few others… if you fear the tea party, just wait… we have yet to do what we set out to do… and it won’t be under any fake ‘national’ leaders who hijacked our name… hehehehe.

  13. From Nov of last year.

    OWS…Days of protest – 40.  Arrests – 2,511. Rapes – 4. Cost to taxpayers – $2,400,000.

    Tea Party….Days of protest – 989. Arrests – 0. Rapes – 0. Cost to taxpayers – $0

I guess by comparison, I am glad the tea party is “extreme”

      1. And your excuse for the protest organizers asking the victim not to file a police report would be?

          1. I didnt say you said they shouldnt. The organizers of the event tried to talk them out of it.

    1. OWS was not a political party, was not supported by all “liberals”, and was subject to abuses.  Any more straw man arguements, this time valid?  Your comparisons aren’t even apples and oranges.

      1.  Its not politically motivated? Its issue is with capitalism. Tea party is not a political party either. I say this on the assumption you wont see tea party on the ballot.

As for your other point. Not all conservatives support the tea party either. I am among them. Ows and the tea party were two major movements, rather you like them or not. It is not very honest to say one is dangerous, while leaving the crime ridden other, out of the equation.

  14. Those of us who support the Tea Party have jobs. We can’t occupy or respond to every false attack put forth by Obama’s propaganda machine. However, we will rise up when the time is right. Our work in 2010 is already paying dividends by blocking Obama’s extreme agenda, which has now caused job growth for 6 months and a better outlook for our economy – in spite of Obama.

Obviously.”

    1. John Birch Society, Koch’s daddy formed it to fight the civil rights movement and to forward the corporate agenda. It hasn’t changed any. Koch puppets all.

  16. I don’t know I guess,….but what I do know is that Matt Gagnon post about once every other month……and he’s the republican strategist,   what’s up with that?     Does it take him, and the governor a couple of months to figure it out?

  17. The tparty is nothing but a bunch of Wall Street groupies, promoting more and more corporate greed.
