OGUNQUIT, Maine — A Massachusetts man has died after losing his footing and falling into the ocean while walking along some rocks in southern Maine.
Police say the 57-year-old man fell at about 7:30 a.m. Saturday while walking along the oceanside footpath known as Marginal Way. Police aren’t releasing the victim’s name pending notification of family members.
Sgt. Matt Buttrick told the Portsmouth Herald that rescue officials attempted to resuscitate the man on the scene.

My thoughts and sympathy are with the family and friends of the gentleman. I am very sorry for your loss.
I’ll assume he died from drowning and not by hitting the rocks? Sad to hear though.
That really sucks to read on Easter morning…well any morning!
It was on Saturday morning, not Sunday.
I read it on Easter, not saturday..
Condolences to family and friends. RIP sir.
I smell a lawsuit!
