VEAZIE, Maine — A local man who reportedly destroyed property owned by the mother of his young child and another person just after noon Saturday was arrested shortly after taking the child and heading to Bangor, police say.
Stephen Gould, 27, was charged with domestic violence terrorizing and two counts of criminal mischief after he was stopped by police in the Queen City at about 2:25 p.m. Saturday, Veazie police Officer Jacob Ferland said Sunday.
“While he was destroying property, she was scared,” the officer said of the 34-year-old victim.
The incident does not involve any child custody issues and the child was not injured, Ferland stressed.
“I returned the child to the mother” only because “I brought him [Gould] to jail, so she needed to take the child,” the officer said.
He was taken to Penobscot County Jail after his arrest and later was released, a jail official said. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)

Happy ending….
Time for this man to grow up. Sadly It might never happen. The kids needs a father that is in control of his actions.
Just plain crazy. No excuses for being out of control and taking a toddler like this.
I find the Facebook stalking done by some of the commenters her both amusing and sad. How much more of a thinly-disguised gossip can you be?
I think it’s because people are curious about the persons in question, and nothing shows a person’s personality like their FB page. I’d hardly call it ‘stalking’ if someone looks at a profile which someone has chosen to make public.
What was he mad about??? Is it just his personality that make him break things??? I don’t get it…
Don’t you think the headline should have mentioned the toddler first and then the property destruction?
