Tyler Patzalek (University of Maine junior), baseball player, went 12-for-23 (.522) with three doubles, three home runs, 15 RBIs and eight runs scored to help the Black Bears push their winning streak to nine games. The catcher/designated hitter went 3-for-5 with two home runs, six RBIs and five runs scored in Friday’s 32-14 Game 2 victory.
Scott Heath (University of Maine freshman), baseball rookie, batted .476 in five games with seven RBIs, eight runs scored. The outfielder had a .560 on-base percentage with five walks and three doubles.

Dom Kone (Colby), New England Small College Athletic Conference track performer of week, won the 100- and 200-meter dashes at Fitchburg State Saturday with times of 10.86 seconds and 22.52, respectively.
Little East
Scott Gagne (University of Southern Maine, freshman), men’s tennis, rookie of week, posted a 2-0 mark in singles and 2-0 record in doubles to help USM beat Thomas and Colby-Sawyer.
Christina Massey (USM, junior), women’s track and field, field athlete of week, finished 10th in long jump (17 feet, 9 ¾ inches) at the Davis Invitational, qualifying for three championship meets.
Hannah Wiley (USM, freshman), women’s track and field, rookie of week, set school records in 100 (12.60) and long jump (18-7 ¼) while finishing seventh and second, respectively, at the Davis Invitational, qualifying for three championship meets.
