BANGOR, Maine — The former Orono woman convicted last month of breaking the leg of her 9-month-old son was sentenced on Wednesday to three years behind bars with all but nine months suspended.
Lynn Crossman, 24, of Brewer admitted to hitting her son on the leg for crying while she was arguing with her parents on the phone in November 2010. The baby was treated for a broken leg.
The judge also sentenced her to two years of probation to be served after she is released.
Some woman should never be allowed to have a child. How can anyone hurt a defenseless, vulnerable little baby?
Hopefully, she loses all rights and custody to this poor child!

Well, just another proof that this state’s judges do not value a baby. And yet a person selling four oxycontin pills gets 5 years.

9 months thats all,How can a mom do this to her child. Ok it’s not a murder,but I can’t imagine and i’m a parent how anyone could harm thier own child like this.It’s sickening to think about,I hope she gets alot of couseling while she’s in and also has to give up her parental rights,
Time to start protecting these babies. She breaks the leg of the child cause he is crying while she is arguing on the phone with her parents, and she gets 9 months? 9 months is not ok. I don’t care if she was givin medication she needs anger management courses! We have all seen this play out before, 9 months in jail is not going to correct her behavior.
