WATERVILLE, Maine — The uncle of missing Maine toddler Ayla Reynolds has pleaded not guilty to assaulting another family member in a dispute about the little girl.
A judge Tuesday set a June 27 trial date for Lance DiPietro.
DiPietro is the brother of Justin DiPietro, the father of Ayla Reynolds, who was 20 months old when she was reported missing Dec. 17.
Lance DiPietro is accused of pushing Justin Linnell to the ground and kicking him on Feb. 6.
Linnell is the father of Ayla’s cousin, who lived in the same Waterville house from which the little girl disappeared.
Lance DiPietro was reportedly angry at comments Linnell had made about the case.
The Morning Sentinel reports that he faces a year in jail and a $2,000 fine if convicted.

Rest assured folks, Lance is as “not” guilty as his brother Justin!
thugs pretending to be smart.. couldn’t agree with you more…their day is coming. Grammy should have made preteen appts with Planned Parenthood before these crazies started taking on more than they could deal with. She didn’t care anymore than they did.
She is as guilty as the rest of them. She knows what happend to that baby and won’t say what it was. I don’t care if she was at home that night or not….Fact is she KNOWS !They are coming for you people and I don’t think its going to be long now. Good luck in hell.
Your absolutly right pegton and aroostock country girl grammy now more then she letting on cause she donlt want her sons to go up the river shows ya how much she cared about ayla
This sad representation of a family just seems to go on and on.
why waste time even putting this an the paper it doesn’t have anything to do with Ayla and her missing so lets not give them losers anymore lime light and 15 seconds of fame
Agree amanda lime light is all they want then next thing we read about will be a movie they are making to get an emmy or grammy for lying tou there teeth
He should have kicked his brothers butt.
They all should be held down and kicked until they start talking!
I can’t help but wonder if perhaps Linnel knows something of significance about the case and was going to tell, thus the assault. One can only hope that IF that were the case, he would come forward and put these losers behind bars for whatever they might have done to that precious little girl.
