BANGOR – Judith Ann Grant died April 16, 2012, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Oct. 16, 1941, in Patten, the daughter of Elwood and Pauline (Hanson) Glidden.
Judy was a beautiful and strong lady. She graduated from Patten Academy and enjoyed working as a hostess at Helm Restaurant, Bangor. She was a devout Elvis fan and loved following local country music bands. She especially enjoyed her visits with her daughter, Karen and son-in-law, Larry, in the beautiful town of Leiper’s Fork, Tenn.
Judy is survived by her daughter, Karen Jean Montgomery and her husband, Larry, of Leiper’s Fork, Tenn., and granddog, Johnny Cash; brothers, Harold “Bub” Glidden and wife, Judith, of Corinna and Elwood “Woodie” Glidden and Jolie Dawson of Corinth; sister, Carolyn Mahon and husband, James, of Bangor; several cousins, nieces, nephews, especially Olivia and Ainsley Overlock; and special friends, Lydia Morang and Norma Satori. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her very dear friend, Wilma Bouchard; and nephew, Kevin Mahon.
Relatives and friends may call for visiting hours 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 300 State St., Bangor, where a memorial service will begin 1 p.m. Burial and a graveside service will be held immediately after at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hermon.
