ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Delores Irene “Loie” (Bartlett) White, beloved mother and grandmother, died April 22, 2012, after a long struggle with illness. She was born Nov. 10, 1930, in Hampden.
She was a warm-hearted lady with a lively interest in politics, decorating and a deep, abiding love of family, friends, the Maine coast and the spirituality of life.
She was predeceased by her beloved son, Daniel J. White; nephew, Robert Smith; and brother-in-law, Alden Smith. She is survived by her loving daughter, Colleen and Doug Willis of Rochester, N.Y.; grandchildren, Sean and Priscilla Durkin of Utah and great-grandchildren, Layla Irene, Christian and Calista, Kelly Durkin of Rochester, N.Y., and great-granddaughter, Alana, and Michael (Elva) Durkin of Arizona and great-grandchildren, Jaelynn and Nogali; beloved sister, Barbara Smith of Florida; nephew, Alden J. Smith and Diane of Maine; great-nephew, Ryan and Stephanie Smith of Kentucky; great-niece, Erin and Michael Smith of Maine; great-niece, Charity Smith of California; and great-nephew, Troy Theibold; cousins, Maria and Bob Verrill, Matt and Marissa Verrill, Craig Verrill; beloved friends, Miriam Zehler of Williamson, N.Y., and Mary Simpson of Hampden; and other precious friends and family.
A celebration of Delores’ life will be held in Maine at the convenience of the family.
