BREWER – Quentin H. MacCabe, “Mac,” 92, a World War II Marine veteran, left us Sunday, April 22, 2012. He was born Jan. 27, 1920, in Bolton, Mass., son of Turner and Elizabeth (Clark) MacCabe.

He was educated at Monmouth Academy and the University of Maine. In civilian life he worked as a carpenter, farmer and master plumber, retiring from Eastern Maine Medical Center. An avid sportsman, he especially enjoyed hunting and fishing at his camp with family and friends.

“Mac” is survived by his wife of 68 years, Geraldine “Gerry” (Walker) MacCabe of Brewer; daughter, Corinne Tapley of South Carolina; son, Bruce MacCabe and wife, Dottie, of Etna; daughter, Rhonda and husband, Danny Dinsmore, of South Carolina; brothers, Lloyd of Monmouth and Milton of Auburn; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by son-in-law, Peter Tapley; sisters, Lillian Frain and Vera LaBelle; and brothers, Neil, Vincent and John.
