GREENVILLE, Maine — Greenville police are searching for a man they say brutally attacked a woman on Wednesday evening on the outskirts of town.
Police are searching for John “Cheeto” Johnson, 42, of Greenville. Police say he has a criminal record and is considered dangerous.
The woman is being treated for her injuries, the Greenville Police Department said in a statement.
Johnson is 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs 170 to 180 pounds, has brown hair and blue eyes and has strong ties to the Rockwood area.
On Thursday afternoon, Greenville Police Chief Jeff Pomerleau said he believes Johnson may be headed to southern New England. He wouldn’t release any other details.
Greenville police, the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Department, Maine State Police, U.S. Border Patrol, Maine Warden Service and Maine Forest Service are continuing to search for Johnson.

Agreed! I have taken a self defense course years ago, but I have a friend who is a black belt in karate and has taken 2 or 3 other ‘fighting” type courses. She is amazing. I would LOVE to see some little peon like this guy try to make her a victim. He would be one hurting fella!

ANY man that would beat on a woman deserves to be caught, taken to the town line, worked over with an axe handle and sent on his way. Sort of like our forefathers taking care of things with a good ole tar and feathering. I just have no sympathy for a woman beater as you can tell.

i know that guy my mother was really close him like friend wise and he used to live with us and he deserves everything he gets. he did bad things at this house and deserves worse than he gets

he deserves what ever they give him,wasn’t he the man in the paper a few days ago that was holding a wepon and was arreseted for crimanl threatening ?where the woman had a restraint order on him and yet he kept on harrasing her?should of kept him locked up hes obviously he was a danger to her and needed to stay in jail,now she has to live with the fear that hes coming back again,they always do!i say when u catch him keep him!!
