MATTAWAMKEAG – Tonya L. Trueworthy, 43, passed away April 26, 2012, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born Feb. 24, 1969, in Bangor, the daughter of Fay and Roene (Thompson) Trueworthy.
Tonya enjoyed spending time with family, listening to music and watching TV with all the kids. She will be greatly missed by all. Tonya had excellent caregivers, especially Courtney, Christine, Cindy and several others throughout the years. For the last six years she lived with her Aunt Irene and Uncle Alvin, whose love and compassion helped her to blossom beyond expectation.
She is survived by her mother, Roene of East Millinocket; three sisters, Tina Trueworthy and her companion, Bruce Putnam, of Winn, Faith Trueworthy of Massachusetts and Francine and Cheryl Braxton of Washington; a brother, Gerald Thompson of Brewer; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Fay Trueworthy; and her grandparents.
Friends may call noon-2 p.m. Monday, April 30, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Interment will be at a later date.
