OGUNQUIT, Maine — Carson Kressley from TV’s “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” and “Dancing With the Stars” is returning to Maine to perform in a twisted version of “Damned Yankees.”
In this version, the story is planted firmly at Boston’s Fenway Park, where the character Joe offers to sell his soul to devilish dealmaker Kressley in return a big hitter. Kressley tells Portland Magazine that his version of the devil will be “sassy and saucy and not necessarily evil.”
Kressley counts himself as a Red Sox fan since he participated in a makeover of several players during his hit TV show, and once threw out the first pitch at Fenway Park.
He was last seen at the Ogunquit Playhouse two years ago as Man in Chair during in “The Drowsy Chaperone.”
Somebody might want to let him know that Maine is a pretty homophobic state.

Actually, it’s really not. We hear from the wingnuts like Michael Heath but they aren’t the majority by any stretch of the imagination.
Travel to a few other states and you’ll see that Maine really is a live-and-let-live kinda place.
