AUGUSTA, Maine — Two years after a tea party power play at the Maine Republican Convention, Ron Paul supporters hope to stage a takeover as state GOP delegates gather this weekend.
Paul Madore, Paul’s state chairman, said Friday that the libertarian-leaning Texas congressman’s supporters hope to get their own convention chairman elected as the two-day event begins Saturday morning, giving them a bold voice to reflect Paul’s close second-place showing in Maine’s caucuses.
Competition for the chairmanship underscores a division between mainstream Republicans and the libertarian wing as the state GOP seeks solidarity in the battle for Sen. Olympia Snowe’s soon-to-be-open seat and to build upon legislative majorities it won two years ago.
That crucial vote will be the first indication of whether Paul’s forces have the muscle to carry the convention as it adopts a platform and elects delegates to the national convention.
“The first vote will tell the story,” said Madore, of Lewiston.
The push by Paul’s supporters, a well-organized group that made strong showings at most of the state’s caucuses — which are nonbinding — comes two years after tea party activists attended the GOP convention in large enough numbers to toss the party platform and put in place their own statement of conservative principles.
As this year’s convention gets under way, there’s lingering bitterness in GOP ranks over the February caucuses, in which former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney was declared the winner over Paul before all the votes were counted.
“There are many Ron Paul supporters who think something funny happened in Maine,” said Mark Brewer, political science professor at the University of Maine.
“Paul’s supporters have always been very energetic and very enthusiastic, very dedicated to the cause,” added Brewer. They are willing to take the extra steps and attend caucuses, conventions and other party events, he said.
Nationally, Paul has a base of die-hard supporters, has been raising contributions consistently and says there are no plans for him to quit the presidential race, even though he is far behind Romney in the contest for 1,144 delegates needed for the GOP nomination; Maine has 24. His supporters have been taking control of local and state Republican parties across the nation as a way to influence platforms and give Paul more standing at the national convention this August in Tampa, Fla.
In Nevada, Paul’s supporters planned to attempt to take over the state GOP convention this weekend, despite threats by the national party that the delegation to the national convention may not be seated if Paul succeeds in packing the delegation. Romney took half of the votes in Nevada’s presidential caucuses in February.
The possibility of a Ron Paul takeover in Maine prompted state GOP Chairman Charles Webster to send an email to GOP delegates and alternates on Friday urging them to thwart an effort to divide the party. His email urged delegates to arrive early for the critical vote for convention chairman and secretary.
Paul supporter Brent Tweed, a state GOP committee member from York County, will challenge the party’s mainstream candidate to lead the convention, Charles Cragin.
“This would be the first opportunity for anyone to ‘take over’ the convention by electing ‘their’ convention chairman,” Webster wrote.
“I regret the necessity of writing this message, but unfortunately there are those among us who would choose to divide us rather than unite us,” Webster wrote.
Madore said the Paul forces’ efforts at the state level are part of a larger effort to get their candidate’s message heard at the party’s national convention this August in Tampa, Fla.
“We want to be heard,” said Madore. He said Webster’s email is part of a “scorched-earth attempt” to ensure control by the party’s mainstream.

Suppose Charlie Webster rounded up all the gullible college age Republicans he could find to run out and hide all the Ron Paul vans? Old habits die hard!
No, but it does look like he pulled the convention schedule off the web to confuse anyone he didn’t personally send an email to!
What is sad is people think he can win this election and that is not going to happen.
I agree, it is sad that people think Romney can win the general election. Your right! it is not going to happen.
I won’t be voting for Romney, that is for sure.
Obama supporter?
He is the lesser of the two evils but I’m far from an Obama supporter.
But he is still evil! Read my last post above to see what I mean.
When I state he is the “lesser of the two evils” I do not truly mean Obama or Romney are truly evil. Obama will at least pay lip service to those that are atheist and will admit that this is not a Christian nation.
What do you have against Christians? I am not particularly religious, just curious? Our country may not be a Christian nation, but was founded on Christian principles. But Congress cannot establish a state religion, or favor a particular religion. There never was of anything that stated NO religion.
Your silly. Ron Paul will be the nominee even if they have to use chloroform on the Romney delegates.
Sounds like a beer Hall putch. And we know what happened after that one.
What a silly comment. For one thing, what happened after that was they sent Hitler to Prison. The Nazi’s came to power for a lot of reasons that couldn’t be repeated in America.
Maybe he supports Gary Johnson, The Libertarian Candidate for President.
Ron Paul winning is not the issue at stake here. He carried the State of Maine and we would be proud that he would represent the State Repub Party… It is not about winning or losing, It about doing what is right for the country.. 99% of the people that vote in this country have no clue what they are voting for. They vote for the people the media tells them to.. . So if for no other reason then having values I vote Ron Paul… Rommy and Obama is not a choice we choose… there is to much courption in everyday American politics.. It is Sad that everyday people sold their souls for a few bucks and a new phone
Stating only 1% of the people that vote have a clue is absurd. If you want to waste your vote on Ron Paul, go ahead and waste it. It might make you feel warm and fuzzy on the inside but that is all it is going to do.
Kevin, David is right! People seem to believe in Fox news, CBS news ect. People do not go far enough to understand how a candidates policies will effect them! I am sad to admit I voted for Obama last election, I did not vet him myself. I listened about all the nice things the media was saying! I was a fool! I ignored my friends when they said he was a socialist, and he hung out with left extremist! I ignored when I was told about his affiliation of Rev. Wright! It took bankruptcy court to realize how his policies has affected me!
Please do your own research, take the extra time to dig a little, and get to know who your voting for!
Again, it is absurd to state that only 1% that vote have a clue.
Actually it was 34.9%, that was the results in the Maine Caucus! Sorry, just had to post that! LOL
Touché
too high isn’t it
good post and right on the spot… there are tons of people in the USA that did exaclty the same as you ,,, most don’t have the balls to admit it though … Kudos to you for that.. however .. there are still plenty of Kevin’s in the country.. every living person should read : The Harbinger’ might make a difference for those who have doubts
Seriously, what in the name of all that is sane is meant by typing three commas in a row?
FYI, Voting who you think will be the best candidate is never a wasted vote! I will never vote just because I dislike the other guy more! We need to get Obama OUT!!!! But Romney? Every policy is the same! Romney Care= Obama Care! Obama told us lies to get in office, and so has Romney, he has already started with his flip flop to the left, leaving all who voted in the primary in the dust!!
When that candidate has no chance of winning it is a vote wasted and Ron Paul has no chance of winning this election. If you want Obama out then vote or Romney, not Paul.
Good point. But as we’ve seen in Maine and as Minnesota has proved, in a seriously contested race between three qualified candidates, it is possible for a non-two party candidate to win. That’s why I’m voting for Gary Johnson, Libertarian candiodate for president and the most accomplished, most capable candidate in this race. Even if he doesn’t win, a 5% showing by Johnson across the nation overnight creates a NEW Major party with automatic ballot status and media credibility.
Plus, you get the satisfaction of voting for the best qualified candidate in the race.
you are right.. proof is Kevin.. has no idea .. but votes anyway.. there really should be a test. anyone that thinks Obama is the right choice ., no matter who the opponent is , has serious issues that usually are not curable
Why do the establishment Republicans fear the Ron Paul movement so much? I have been a Republican since 1970. I think the Ron Paul people are great and we should welcome and embrace them.I have been to several party meeting and conventions where the Ron Paul people are treated like crap. This is not the way to grow the party.
Let’s welcome these Conservatives to our party.
They are more Libertarian than Conservative, and the party is being driven by the Social Conservatives. I suspect Webster is playing to them, hoping for some recognition at the national level.
The Republican Party used to have almost the same policies, what happened? The Republican Party now resembles the Democrats, more spending, bigger government, less freedom, and more government control. I grew up in a Republican family, and i am now registered party unaffiliated because of the liberalism, and cronyism that has infiltrated the GOP! Libertarians are the ultimate conservatives, small government and individual state rights. I was concerned over the legalization of drugs and prostitution the Libertarians promoted , till I researched and found that this is not factual. The will leave these decisions up to the states, which is the way it should be according to the Constitution. Why do you think your beliefs are different? What do you disagree with?
Short answer: I am very uncomfortable with the religious turn my party has taken. There is no need for ANYONE’S prayer in public school. It’s bad enough when people justify how I should be governed by conveniently using their favorite parts of the Constitution, but when they try that with selective parts of their holy book (Bible or Kuran), it is intolerable. Worse is if you’re churchy enough (like W) and spend on the “correct” things, drunken excess is fine. Reagan made our tent big…the current leadership wants it to be a camper shower.
I would consider turning to the Ds, because they are finally coming out of their most recent nutty phase, but when I–a white, ango-saxon, protestant, alcohol drinking, SUV driving, gun-owning, male–showed up, they would declare me to be “everything wrong with America.”
I was really wanting to know why you dislike the Libertarian agenda? What you speak is almost exactly what they stand for! Equal rights and freedom for all, they do not judge ones appearance. Just individual liberty!
Sorry I wasn’t clearer…I am more Libertarian than Conservative, but: I don’t want the government small enough to drown in the tub; maybe too short to reach the bathroom door knob. It should protect me from you, not from myself…you are free to do whatever you want, until it infringes on my freedom, and I expect my government to police that. I like that potable water comes out of my faucet in this country, and going to court to fight for my “property rights” isn’t how that should happen. I expect my government to provide good roads and bridges. And death is an appropriate punishment for some crimes. We are not the U.S. of the 1890s…we have allies and interests abroad, and we should support and defend them.
I believe we are made strong by equality of opportunity, not equality of outcome. But we aren’t a country where people are in a pit fighting over the same pork chop, and only the strongest and richest survive.
you sound like a “D” anyway…go for it.
you should turn to the democrats …. or as an alternative turn to God.. then the prayer thing won’t bother you so much… likely not at all… no one is forcing you to pray, and God has most definitely been taken out of our schools and gov’t.. that should make you happy.. it makes me sad.. our country was based on Christianity, George Washington consecrated this country to God at the St. Paul’s Chapel in NY city, the then capital of the USA, with prayer… since then we have turned out backs to God .. well you most certainly have… that comes with a price.. and by the way no one that I know of says that dunken excess is fine… the bible most assureadly doesn’t.. I believe you are right about one thing.. you would be ” everything that is wrong with america” with exceptions..anglo saxon. suv driving, gun owning all three perfectly ok…
You whole post has turned its back against punctuation. You may find some benefit in researching up the ellipsis (…) and its proper use.
Because they’ve been told to fear him.
Just like now, the media and the party are trying to make him and his supporters sound like criminals for beating them at their own game.
The main misconception people have is Ron Paul’s people are becoming delegates to get Ron Paul the nomination. This idea that they are doing it just to be heard is the stupidest thing I have seen people write.
You don’t run a campaign to lose, you run to win. Every single state is exactly the same. They send ordinary people as delegates to the national convention. It does not matter who the straw votes went to, what matters is who stayed after the primary or caucus way back when they happened to become involved and get elected as delegates.
Those ordinary people will cast their vote for who ever they want. The GOP can not tell them who to vote for as described in Rule 38. So even place like Florida will have Ron Paul supporters as delegates. When the GOP chair asks how each state votes, and the division is called for a roll call vote, only then will everyone know exactly how many embedded Ron Paul delegates there are.
With all the cameras on, the GOP as well as the Ron Paul supporters will have a reckoning.
It will be interesting, and probably epic and game changing.
Rule 38 doesn’t matter. It’s on the Dailypaul.
Let the votes be counted, Charlie Webster. Robert’s Rules of Order should be in order during Saturday’s proceedings. Ron Paul should understand, also, that there could be wolves in sheep’s clothing leading his pack!
This is what the gop gets for all the fraud they have committed against Dr Paul. They need Pauls supporters to win and that ain’t ever gonna happen. We will write him in or stay home and watch while obama wins again. We will never vote for their puppet.
rriigghht. Top shelf thinking at play there…
Or, when Paul and Libertarian commitment to free markets and free people are once again rejected by the Republican National Convention, as they almost surely will be, Paul supporters can do the long term smart thing and start supporting Libertarian Candidate Former Two Term New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson. (www.garyjohnson2012.com) rather than pretending that Liberty issues will ever be a majority establishment Republican agenda, they can start doing the thing that Dr. Paul himself did in 1988: Building a strong, broad based, 100% committed to Liberty alternative party that forevre breaks the two party monopoly.
I was a RP supporter and I am Libertarian, but he can’t win, I’m not going to Augusta, and I will vote for Romney in November. The wrong Paul ran this time. Hopefully Rand will run in 2016, but Obama has to go in 2012.
So you’re going to vote for Obama-lite?
Romney has consistently governed to the LEFT of Obama.
He has said whatever people want to hear to get elected, but when the rubber hits the road Romney is no conservative.
Sorry to say, if Romney or Obama are elected, we will be in a world of hurt!

Why would you not vote your beliefs? Don’t buy the media message. Paul can win. Romney has no real support. If he did they would not be suppressing Paul’s support and showing his. Romney can be beat. And only Paul can beat Obama.
you could be right…. but the smart money says no… is romney that man ? nope… someone made a big mistake… but we will have to vote for him if that’s what they offer.. more of Obama would be the tethered end of America as we know it.. what’s funny ( well not so much) is that those who support Obama, will suffer just as much as those who don’t.. they don’t get it.. but they will if he is in the white house again. with no need to pull any punches for a re-election it will be as nasty as it gets and we lose… not just the right side of the aisle but every single living person in our country will lose..
For many of us your argument is the the same as ours. Only we dread the election of Mitt Romney and a return to George W. Bush’s horrible administration. Every single living person (well, not if you have enough money like Mitt Romney) will lose. Come to think of it, Mitt Romney should be campaigning for President Obama’s re-election. His money made over $20 million in each of the last two years with Barack Obama as president.
I agree. Either people who supportbRomney have very short memories or they tune in to the fear mongering tactics of Fox News. The Paulite cult are simply brainwashed idealists who live in a world of their own…a fantasy land. The only real choice we have is Obama who deserves so much more credit for keeping this country out of another Great Depression.
America can not afford another 4 years of this administration without a full economic collapse. 16 Trillion in debt needs to be addressed. Obama wants to continue to add to that debt so our children are absolute slaves. If you have children, you should be thankful that he won’t.
The gang that can’t shoot straight is now trying to shoot itself in the foot.
The schedule for the convention has been pulled off the Maine Republican party’s website. I suspect dirty tricks ala Charlie Webster.
Does anyone know when the voting starts tomorrow?
Chairman, Charles Webster, only to certain delegates and alternatives. He apparently urged them to, “arrive early for the ‘critical’ vote for convention Chairman and Secretary.”
It would be very surprising if any Ron Paul supporters were on that email’s recipients list.
The email went on to read, “This would be the first opportunity for anyone to `take over’ the convention by electing `their’ convention chairman,” Webster wrote.
“I regret the necessity of writing this message, but unfortunately there are those among us who would choose to divide us rather than unite us,” Webster wrote.
Good Luck My Friend, Keep them honest!!!!!
I got an e-mail with the confirmed agenda. The convention convenes at 9 AM–people are encouraged to arrive early for check in and will need a photo id to get their credentials.
From who???
Republican are a dying breed, thank God. The way they have treated the youth (future Republicans but most likely not anymore), amazing.
in your dreams junior
Well if the vote wasent riged they could just vote. But we all no it is so they have to storm these places to get real people in there to get the right man in the WHITE HOUSE. GREAT JOB PEOPLE YOU MAKE ME PROUD TO BE AMERICAN
Who’s going to vote for Romney, a rich republican Wall Street investor, who’s agenda is most likely to send more good paying American jobs to China. Considering the fact that was how Bane Capitol became prosperous. Mitt Romney’s job was to create wealth on Wall Street by sending American jobs to China. Romney does a good job complaining about the unemployment figures, however, he has not mentioned his plan for the creation of American jobs, most likely due to the lack of any plan. I don’t think there are enough brain washed or rich Americans in this country for Romney to become our president.
alright… perhaps that’s the case… more than three years later .. after 08 we are still in a quagmire… one lie after another… more corruption than can be rightfully counted.. allegiences to Mulims countries beyond our wildest dreams, Czars that are mostly Marxists , spending like a drunken sailor…. and more much much more.. and we are saying that we have no alternatives..so tell me.. how many jobs did Romney create that went to China.. just curious…. how many ?
More than one was to many given the current state of Americas economy.
ha ha you are too funny..I will stand with Romney any day. And with the current office holder in place, it is hands down. We use oil because it is cheap. China has cheap labor. If a business doesn’t watch the bottom line, somone like Bain will have to pick up the pieces. If you are useful, you will find work. If the cost of doing business is lower here the businesses would stay…. and I would like to see this failed leader jobless in ’12..just too bad we gave him all the money to play golf while his wife toured the world.
With that kind of attitude , your either anti American or clueless. In 1994 wich is when Free Trade began in the form of NAFTA; the United States was the richest country in the world. Twenty years later and many more ratified trade agreements, America is now the poorest country in the world. I’ll let you figure the rest of equation out, then if you get it figured out,you may want to think about moving to China.
Party Chairman Mao-Charlie Webster is the one dividing Maine republicans. His arrogance and intimidating tactics are more befitting a third world dictator and still, he persists!! He’s caused more damage to the Maine republican party than he and his arrogant cronies can even imagine and they’re too ignorant and smug to realize it. He dismissed all Paul supporters as irrelevant phonies, and come next election in Maine, his tactics will prove to have been a disaster.
Kevin Raye, take note of these problems and your role in creating them. Your chances of winning against Michaud dwindle with each passing day.
The operative word is “Libertarian”. While I agree with some Libertarian beliefs, Ron Paul is too far out in left field to rally the support of traditional conservatives – those same conservatives that form the corp of the Tea Party movement. Ron Paul will never win the GOP nomination – he has many good ideas but some very bad ones too. Until the GOP can get a real conservative nominee, we will continue to be stuck with country club Republicans like Romney and McCain who just need to retire already.
Primary processes are long and drawn out. There is no excuse for choosing a bad nominee. If you don’t like who is chosen, blame the party.
RON PAUL…..please go away so we can miss you.
I say: RON PAUL…Please go away..and when you do, you will NOT be missed! You can’t go soon enough for me!
MA-NE.net: Nevada too…
Too many Sanchos for a single Ron Quixote !
That gets a thumbs up from me judyp. Please stay home or write in Paul and keep being a true patriot.
If there is “any” validity to this, those that I have spoke to that are going, will not only turn on Ron Paul supporters, but will never interact with them again or support Ron Paul in the future.
While the former Santorum supporters are not happy with Romney, and for good reason, you can bet they will gravitate towards Romney if they see any kind of power-play.
there is no doubt that something is ” fishy” in Maine… If you have the right to vote, your vote has a right to be counted…..why didn’t that happen ?
Talk about doing anything to win the election!! This is what Ron Paul had in mind all the way along…he’s planning on stealing the nomination. Honest man? No, he definitely is not.
Hope his strategy fails! I don’t want a lunatic as my President who lives in a fantasy world and back in the 1800’s when his impractical ideas might have worked! And
yes, I do support Obama unlike most people on this thread. He cares about the middle class (unlike Romney) and has accomplished a lot in spite of the GOP obstructionism. He has finally learned the hard lesson…you can’t work with a party whose only mission is to try to make you fail. Republicans will be voted out in November…thank god!
Using the Rules that the GOP has had in place is not stealing. Ron Paul’s supporters are doing what Mittens supporters could be doing but there aren’t enough of them. There has been many instances of fraud caught on video around the country of the establishment attempting to change the rules. Mittens has the cash to buy the volunteers to do this exact same thing if he wanted to win. He just doesn’t have the grass root support that Dr. Paul does. If you want to see the truth, go to

It simply proves the GOP has absolutely no intelligence or foresight to make rules like this! Why hold primaries if they are meaningless? It doesn’t make any sense at all! Good thing Ron Paul does not have a chance to be elected. If he did, god help us all!
Obama 2012
This is the same strategy used by Obama when we all thought Hillary was the nominee. This is why the rules are as they are. So that the establishment can not decide who rules. The people do. Mittens has the cash to outdo this buy buying the support volunteered to Dr. Paul. Why hasn’t the Romney campaign been as successful, he even lost in his own state. We were promised hope and change by Obama but all we have received is Nope and Chains. Read the writing on the wall as it is clear that change is happening this time around.
Experts from MIT agree with Dr. Paul on his Foreign Policy. Experts agree with Dr. Paul on his Economic Policies. Things that are of this importance should be told by the Main Stream Media but they don’t because he would stop the pocket stuffing corruption from the Lobbyists and Corporatism will end.

Experts also agree that Paul’s foreign policy will breach our national security and I would love to hear who the experts are that agree with his economic policies, especially cutting trillions of dollars by eliminating every department of govt while eliminating the income tax! It doesn’t make sense! Sounds good but can’t be done! Unless of course you want to go into a depression

Try these to start. If the links do not get approved, you will have to do your own research.
In your foreign policy link, it cites only one so-called expert so let me cite one who agrees with my stance. He states:
“He (Ron Paul)doesn’t grasp what America is, what we have always stood for, and
what our global responsibilities are as the world’s sole superpower,
and he clearly has no sense of who actually threatens our way of life. A
country governed by a Paul administration would lead to a much more
dangerous world, embolden our enemies, and likely result in significant
American casualties.
As Ronald Reagan eloquently put it in his speech at Pointe du Hoc on the 40th anniversary of D-Day:
‘We in America have learned bitter lessons from two World Wars: It is
better to be here ready to protect the peace, than to take blind
shelter across the sea, rushing to respond only after freedom is lost.
We’ve learned that isolationism never was and never will be an
acceptable response to tyrannical governments with an expansionist
intent.’
Ron Paul has not learned that lesson. Lucky for the country, he’s
unlikely to become president, but it’s heartening to see his rivals have
begun to point out, as Newt Gingrich recently did, that “Ron Paul’s
views are totally outside the mainstream of virtually every decent
American.”
More dangerous world. Do you remember the 2008 debates when Paul schooled Giuliani and the reasons why we were attacked? Turn off your TV and research more.

History is something we need to learn from.
Why can’t we give PEACE a chance?
And the world is a very different place now as compared to then with cell phone and internet technology. Do you really think in the world today, with instant messaging around the globe that anything could happen anywhere of such magnitude that everyone wouldn’t know about it within say a few minutes or maybe an hour at most? We have weapons that will reach anywhere in the world within an hour. How much protection do you need? Maybe build yourself a bomb shelter like we used to have advertized during the cold war times…
I too believe in peace…but I do NOT believe we can turn our back and pretend there are no BAD People in the world who want to cause us harm! That”s what Paul’s foreign policy proposes (Bring ALL troops home..not just end the war in Afghanistan) and you must believe the same if you adamantly support him as you do !
But the difference is that he would be smart enough to be cautious and thoughtful about his decision making as compared to the teleprompter reading, empty suit we have in charge now. Dr. Paul predicted all of the fates from before 911 till now including the housing bubble and the blow back long before most anyone else and NO ONE listened to him. His congressional video record shows all of this clearly and defined. There really is no better choice. I have spent hundreds of hours researching. No one has been clearer on what needs to be done and how it should be done. If you believe that his 90 second responses are the complete answers to the most difficult questions ever raised during presidential debates (not to mention it was him who started this dialog in the last cycle) then you are not doing any research. Complicated answers can not be told is such an absurd amount of time. The debates are the Game Show of Politics.
There is solid factual reasons of logic to support Dr. Paul. The facts are available to everyone with time to research and not very many have the time (something the MSM is counting on). Arguing with me on any public post will only validate my position over and over again.

I am and have been concerned about our country and the chipping away at our liberties for decades. The ignorant policies being put into place that never do as they say they will because the government is incapable of knowing how to do it when the one’s writing the legislation are the Lobbyists who control them.
Small Government controlled by the limitations of the Constitution is our last best hope to correct this fraudulent activity funded by OUR money.
Do you have any better solutions?
I SO DISAGREE with you! Ron Paul—Cautious and thoughtful???!! No way! He put his plan out there and he has already said he would eliminate every dept. in one fell swoop! You call that cautious and thoughtful!! I don’t! And I TOTALLY disagree with you about Obama…he is definitely NOT an empty suit! He is the man I would describe as pensive, reasoned, and brilliant! NOT Ron Paul who can not string together a few words into a logical sentence. Cut the tele-prompter stuff…Obama is not the only President who has used one…he doesn’t just read from it as others had done…Perhaps Ron Paul would benefit from one so that people would understand his nonsensical rhetoric a bit better. I do hope in a way that Obama gets a chance to debate your cult leader…Obama will eat him alive!

I wonder why they would validate your ;position!! You must think I’m stupid! They are all written by Ron Paul cultists such as you! Of course they would spew the same Pro-Paul positions.
The you tube congressional video record has been there for a very long time. Recorded real time. I applaud your ignorance to stray from the main stream media. It tells great stories.
Obama had less than a single term in congress before he became president but Dr. Paul has been there working for 12 terms to correct this stupidity. Who has the most experience? Who Lied to us about what he was going to do? Your statement shows me intrinsically that you refuse to seek a better option. I am glad I am fighting for our freedom because those who are incapable of researching and unwilling to devote the time to find facts are many. But I get one vote and so do you. Good luck with your choice but I am sure I am with the best answer to the corruption that rules this nation.
Paul may have been working for 12 terms but he has won little support for any of his legislation that he has tried to pass. In fact, he has spent 23 years in Congress and only one of his proposed bills has been signed into law; 23 years, one law.
Not very effective, would you agree?
Why do you think he would be supported now?
I think you need to do a little research on your own, not me. A little advice: Don’t rely on the Paul sites to get the truth.
I agree with you on one point…let the people vote.
As Chairman of the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Domestic Monetary Policy and Technology, Dr. Paul was able to get Legislation passed to get a partial audit of The Fed. The audit showed 15 Trillion dollars (equal to our deficit) going to overseas central banks. Are you happy that he was right again? I know I am elated. The rest of the Congressional pockets are lined with Lobbyist money. Why else do you think they don’t support Dr. Paul? He hasn’t sold out and won’t. He is going to bat again Tuesday, for Americans, to attempt to abolish the Fed. Should be another great show of fear by the Banksters. I look forward to it.
I have researched the entire web for details about all the candidates in the last 3 election cycles including our POTUS. My position has done nothing but been affirmed it is correct. The web has grown exponentially since it’s creation and has done wonders for the education of the world. Get a good antivirus program and have at it and shut off your TV so your not as influenced by all the nothing but propaganda they spew.
Best of luck.
We still get one vote, for now.
One more thing, I certainly do not need to be an economist to tell me 16Trillion dollars of debt is dangerous. So lets take a look at that, shall we? We borrow 40 cents of every dollar we spend everyday to pay for this empire right now. http://www.usdebtclock.org/
We use some of that money to pay China with Foreign Aid interest free while they charge us interest on the loan? Have you spoken to your bank lately and asked if you could borrow 40 cents of every dollar you spend every day to see what they would say?
It might be worth a good laugh.
I believe even a third grader could tell you this is totally unsustainable.
I do agree that the debt is much too high BUT I don’t need to be an economist to know that cutting one trillion dollars in spending during his FIRST year–all in one fell swoop and not incrementally— would be disastrous to our economy and would plunge us into a depression! I doubt he would get any support for this drastic measure though… not even the GOP would be so maniacal. That is the only saving grace!
hmmm I don’t know of any decent American who is for allowing the wars to continue for the reason that has been told us. They are fighting for their lives as we bomb them from the bravery of being out of range. How American.
If I could ask of you 6 minutes of your time, would you watch this in it’s entirety. I know you don’t owe me but everyone should hear this speech.

Thank you.
The clear difference between Obama + Hillary compared to what you just said regarding Ron Paul is that Obama led Clinton in delegates won through state contests and Clinton
claimed that she had the popular vote lead as she had more actual votes
from the state contests. Ron Paul has NEITHER!
How are you so sure of that with all of the fraud being reported across the country? EVERY state so far has had some form of fraud happen. Whole counties missing from the total vote counts and such. Have you not been watching the news? oh, wait, they don’t report that stuff more than a brief mention in Main Stream News. Google it and see for yourself and see if you still believe that he hasn’t won a state.
You tube HONESTMISTAKE. You may be very surprised about what you learn from video history.
BTW, he did win U.S. Virgin Islands Republican caucuses, 2012. So actually he has won at least one battle they are willing to talk about.
