ORONO, Maine — A University of Maine student and resident of York Hall was arrested Friday night after he failed to meet the 5 p.m. deadline to have his belongings out of the dorm and was caught with beer, Ron Lisnet, university spokesman, said Tuesday.

“He was asked to leave York Hall several times,” he said of Lucas Kronlund, 20. “Students were checking out” and Kronlund remained several hours after the departure deadline passed.

The underage Kronlund, who was out on bail and barred by the court from breaking the law, was found with beer and arrested just after 7 p.m. for violating his bail conditions. He was taken to Penobscot County Jail in Bangor and later released, a jail official said. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)

  1. You seem to be fairly defensive about this story…..That’s kinda odd considering it is a blurb from the “police beat” and not intending to be life altering news story.

    1.  I’ve got no affiliation to this story whatsoever. Just seems like the BDN cant get super interesting news, so next time I take I fart maybe the news crews will show up and get the sat link to CNN. For christ sakes.. REPORT on something people care about. This is why Maine people are so NOSEY.
