MILLINOCKET – Gerald R. York, 67, died peacefully May 10, 2012, at his home. Gerald was born June 3, 1944, in Millinocket, son of Darrah and Gertrude (Anderson) York.
Gerald joined the Army after graduation from Stearns High School. After his honorable discharge, he went to work at Great Northern Paper where he retired. After his retirement, he went to work on his own as a carpenter.
Gerald is survived by a son, Richard York of Portland; daughter, Trina Ann Crawford of Michigan; grandchildren, Mitchell York, Wayne and Andrea Archie, and Nicole Pinkham; brothers, Ronald and Arthur York; and sister, Dolores Stewart. In addition to his parents, Gerald was predeceased by a brother, Darrah.
Graveside services with military honors will be conducted 3 p.m. Friday, May 18, at Millinocket Cemetery. Arrangements by Lamson Funeral Home, Millinocket. Messages of condolence may be expressed at
