PORTLAND, Maine — Police have arrested a man in connection with a May 9 stabbing on Cedar Street, police Lt. Gary Rogers said Wednesday.

Christopher Miller, 29, of Portland is facing a charge of elevated aggravated assault after his arrest on Tuesday afternoon.

“He came down to the police department on his own,” Rogers said.

Miller is accused of stabbing a woman at a Cedar Street apartment, Rogers said. The woman suffered torso and neck injuries and has since been released from the hospital.

Miller remained Wednesday afternoon at Cumberland County Jail on $5,000 bail.
