BREWER, Maine — An Eddington man spent the back end of the holiday weekend behind bars after an argument with his girlfriend led him to break her car’s rear window, police said.
Josh Gallagher, 33, is facing a criminal mischief domestic violence charge, a Class D misdemeanor, according to Brewer police Sgt. Arden Jones.
Jones said Gallagher and the woman, with whom he has a child, got into an argument early Monday morning and Gallagher punched out the rear window of the woman’s car.
Cpl. Nelson Feero and Cpl. Levi Sewall went to the scene and quickly arrested Gallagher, Jones said. Gallagher was taken to the Penobscot County Jail and later released, a jail official said.

When in a blind anger, it’s always better to hit an inanimate object and not the object of your anger
even better to know that hitting anything does not solve the problem …
Agreed, but men seem to need a physical release for anger, and it’s still better plaster than flesh!
He definatly has a good punch, know first hand its not very easy to punch out a rear window.
No doubt that this must have been a frightening scene for the lady involved. However, with all of the domestic abuse cases being reported, at least it was the car window and not her.
I hope his hand hurts him for a very long time.
good to hear it was just a window..
