LINCOLN, Maine — Three people were arrested at a Katahdin Avenue home Thursday night, including one man who was charged with trafficking in weapons, police said Friday.

Danny Burrell, 38, of 15 Katahdin Ave., was charged at 8:30 p.m. Thursday with violating conditions of his release and trafficking in dangerous knives.

Laura Burrell, 34, of the same address, was charged with violating her conditions of release, and Brent Davis, 40, of Lincoln, was charged with possession of hypodermic apparatus, police said.

Neighbors said several law enforcement agencies were present during the arrests along with Lincoln police. Lincoln Police Chief William Lawrence declined to comment on that aspect of the arrests.

Lawrence said Danny Burrell had a spring-loaded knife on his person when he was arrested and that Davis had a hypodermic needle on himself as well.

  1. Violating condition’s of release ?I’m sorry but these 2 are gone off to the County hooscow ’till their trial. Davis having a needle on him is nothing more than Stupid in the First Degree. Chargeable, maybe, maybe not given his history. But the fact that ‘Other Agency’s’ were there tells me that this has a l-o-n-g way to go. Good for Chief Lawrence’s people. They all came away in one piece and that’s what count’s for them.

  2. The usual suspects….again!  Maybe they can ALL go away for a long time.  Cleaning up Lincoln is a work in progress but this a real good start.  Good job!!
