SACO, Maine — Police are searching for a man who held up the Community Pharmacy on Saturday and got away with an undisclosed amount of drugs.

Saco Deputy Chief Jeff Holland said in a statement the robbery was reported at 4 p.m. Saturday.

The suspect, who is described as in his mid 20s to mid 30s and 5-foot-10 with short brown hair, approached the pharmacy counter and handed an employee a note demanding prescription drugs.

Holland said the suspect had no weapons. The employee gave the man drugs and the suspect fled onto Pleasant Street.

A police K-9 team tried to track the suspect but was unsuccessful. Anyone with information on the man’s whereabouts should contact Saco police at 284-4535.
