BANGOR, Maine — A local man and woman described by police as transients were arrested Sunday afternoon after police received a report that a man was sitting on a porch on Essex Street with a firearm and occasionally dozing off.
Though the firearm turned out to be a BB gun, Eugene Caston, 49, was charged with trafficking in dangerous knives after officers found a large pearl-handled spring-loaded knife in his possession, Bangor police Sgt. Paul Edwards said Monday.
Ashley Lee, 24, who reportedly was driving the vehicle Caston was riding in when police caught up with him on Fern Street, was charged with possession of cocaine and violating the conditions of her bail from a prior arrest, Edwards said, citing police reports.

You have to wonder why these genius’s have made Bangor their home ? We need to find it out and remove it ASAP.
Alot of these people are labeled as transients but why? The definition of transient is “Lasting only for a short time; impermanent.” most of these news worthy incidents committed by so called transients are actually committed by someone other then transients. They are not temporary or passing through, they are here for the long haul as long as our welfare handouts continue to be better then everywhere else…….
Is this report right, essex street. Nothing happens bad on essex street
Sounds like the opener from “High Noon.” The Essex Street you once knew – isn’t.
