DEXTER, Maine — School Administrative District 46’s budget was passed by voters in all four of the district’s towns Tuesday.

Residents voted 376-237 to pass the 2012-2013 general budget, which is just over $12.5 million, Superintendent Kevin Jordan said Tuesday night. The budget is a 3.6 percent increase over the current school year.

Garland, which saw a valuation increase of 5 percent, narrowly accepted the budget by a 57-55 mark. Ripley voters also approved it by a close margin, 32-28. The vote was 213-118 in Dexter and 74-36 in Exeter.

Exeter and Ripley residents had much smaller valuation increases, said Jordan. Dexter’s valuation went down 1 percent, he added.
