VEAZIE, Maine — Despite a recount Friday at the town office, the results of Tuesday’s town council election remained unchanged.

In an election day upset, incumbent candidate David King lost his seat on the council to political newcomer Christopher Bagley, who received 242 votes to King’s 220 votes.

After Friday’s recount, conducted at King’s request, the tally still stood at 242-220, Assistant Town Clerk Amanda Blethen said.
