HAMPDEN – Linda D. Collinss, 53, passed away peacefully June 14, 2012, at a Bangor hospital after a short battle with lung cancer. She was born Aug. 24, 1958, in Bangor, daughter of Shirley Conroy of Springfield.
Linda earned her Bachelor of Science at the University of Maine at Machias and in 2010 graduated from Hutchinson Center with her master’s degree in social work. She worked for many years at Washington County Psychotherapy Association as a crisis worker. She was then employed by Aroostook Mental Health Center as a therapist until her death. She loved to dance, garden and work with stained glass, and spend time with the family.
She is survived by her husband, William Collins II; son, Anthony Ulmer and wife, Ladonna, of Winterport; sister, Becky Colby and husband, Dennis, of Hampden; two brothers, George and Ralph Moody; nephews, Jared Moody, Scoyy Young and Gage Moody; nieces, Jessica of Maryland, Chelsea and Kayla, both of Bangor; grandchildren, Sierra, Will, Jeff and Cody; mother, Shirley Conroy and husband, Frank, of Springfield. She was predeceased by her father, George Moody II of Belfast; and two nephews, Martin Young and Malachi Moody.
