BREWER, Maine — Police responded late Sunday to a report of “a male acting strangely in the roadway.” Once they arrived they discovered the man was out on bail and barred by court order from drinking, Brewer police Sgt. Arden Jones said Monday.
Thomas Brouillette, 55, of Springfield, Mass., was searched about 11:50 p.m. Sunday and police “found a bottle of alcohol in his pocket,” the sergeant said. Brouillette was arrested for violating his bail conditions and taken to Penobscot County Jail in Bangor. He was later released, a jail official said.
