FALMOUTH, Maine — An 80-year-old Falmouth woman has died in a two-car crash.
Falmouth police said Glenise Hutchins was killed in a crash at the intersection of Route 1 and Johnson Road at about 9:10 a.m. Saturday.
Officials told the Portland Press Herald that Hutchins was a passenger in one of the cars.
Police did not release additional information about the accident, which is under investigation.

Sad,the Maine roads and highways get more deadly every day.
How does the BDN get their accident info? Does it come from the public, the investigating Law Enforcement Agency, or some other way? I’m only wondering, because there was a fatal accident last night on or around MDI (killed an MDI resident) and there has been nothing published on it. I’m not criticizing the BDN, I’m truly curious as to how they get it.
Well in this case a lack of local reporting took place, another article form the AP and a link to the Portland Press, so basically this story just landed in the laps of the BDN via someone babysitting the wire.
Nobody actually goes out and gathers news anymore….
i think the ellsworth american fb page might have details not sure..
Thanks. I’m not really looking for details though. I was just curious as to how they went about getting their info. The one I’m talking about happened last night. The one this article is about happened this morning, and there’s another article about a bad accident that happened this afternoon. No fatalities in that one, but there was a write-up just the same.
On the BDN home page, click on CONTACT. Select the area where your story happened. Then select Submit Your News. I haven’t tried it out, but I found the site is there.
Thanks!
