VAN BUREN – Harriet (Tilley) St. Pierre, 92, died June 26, 2012, at a Van Buren health care facility. She was born July 20, 1919, in Van Buren, the daughter of Delmont Henry Tilley and Alexandrine Theodosie (Michaud) Tilley.
She was a lifelong resident of Van Buren and was a communicant of St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church.
Mrs. St. Pierre was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Leo J. St. Pierre, March 2, 1912 – July 15, 1993, they were married April 23, 1939; a son, Robert Bruce, Aug. 20, 1948 – Dec. 29, 1948; and her siblings, Warren, Violet, Irma, Velma, Everett and Glenn. Harriet leaves in mourning her son, William and wife, Alice Homme, with their children, Jeffrey and Sheri; her son, Clayton and wife, Kathi (St. Pierre) Meacham and her children, Johnny Johnston and Jamie Johnston, all of Castle Rock, Wash.; her daughter, Sandra Belanger and husband, Jim, of Hollis, N.H., with their children, James, Julianne, Jennifer and Jayne; her daughter, Suzanne Vose and husband, John, of Copperas Cove, Texas, and their children, Erik and Heather; brothers, Daniel Tilley of East Hartford, Conn., and Franklin “Dee” Delano Tilley and Lorette Lamore of Van Buren; 28 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and family.
There will be no calling hours. A private memorial service will be held for the family. Interment of ashes will be in the parish cemetery with her husband, Leo.
