ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Susan J. Bush, 62, died June 30, 2011, at her brother’s home in Largo, Fla.
Susan was a native of Morristown, N.J., and had lived in different parts of Maine since she was 5. She settled in East Blue Hill in the early 1970s, where she raised four boys. She took pleasure in reading and was an avid book collector. She was an elegant writer and contributed to several publications, such as “The Weekly Reader” and “Echoes.”
Susan is survived by two sons, Christopher P. LaBranche of Rockland and daughters, Isabella Rose LaBranche and Julia Isis LaBranche, and Joseph R. LaBranche of Rockland and daughter, Olivia Marie LaBranche; and brother, Porter Higgins and wife, Connie, of Largo, Fla. She will be remembered by her best friend, Amanda Howard of Oakland, N.J.
A graveside memorial service will be conducted 1 p.m. June 30 in the family lot at Dover Cemetery, Dover-Foxcroft. Arrangements are in the care of Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft.
