MILBRIDGE – Father of Kaleb, son of Chris and Holly, brother to Age, and boyfriend to Kristen, Jared died Saturday, June 30, 2012, as a result of a tragic car accident on Wyman Road. Jared was born Jan. 26, 1991, in Machias, to Chris and Holly (Newenham) Dorr.

He had always been a great son, grandson and person from the day he was born. Jared touched lots of lives and left many, many great memories. Of course, when you asked him anything, the normal response anyone would get was “I don’t know” or “Yup.” Jared never was a big talker. He started lobstering when he was big enough to go on the boat and many days he would nap in a fish tote. Jared loved the ocean and after graduating he said that would be the only place he would ever work. He was owner and captain of ol’ Bad Co. and, along with lobstering, loved halibut fishing as well. On land, Jared loved to hunt anything, fish, snowmobile and Honda ride as a true outdoor boy. However, his true joy was born Aug. 26, 2011, his son, Kaleb Deane Dorr. Jared was a great dad and loved him so much.

Other family members include his parents, Chris and Holly; sister, Age; brother, Blake; grandparents, Lewis and Cheryl Dorr, Harry and Barbara Newenham, Lewis and Lorena Dorr, and Evelyn Perry; niece and nephew, Cailin and Ryker; aunts and uncles, Cissy and John Jellison, Amy and Ben Perry, Lightning and Jyl Newenham, Brooke and Alan Burgess, Lewis and Mickey Dorr, and Sheldon and Heather Dorr; cousins, Morgan, John, Gavin, Katrina, Aailyah, Jason, Karissa and her new unborn baby girl, Kristina, Jimmy, Bo, Brooklyn, Taylor, Sailor, Keith, Kirsti, Harmon, Justin, and Jacob; girlfriend, Kristen and her parents, Ray and Jeannie; friends, Josh Beal, Kris, Tozier, Colby, Matt, Josh Ray, Jason, Cody, and so many more. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Philip and Betty Chipman, and Ralph Perry.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 7, at Jordan Pier, Wyman Road, Milbridge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to an account set up for Kaleb, care of Bar Harbor Banking and Trust, Milbridge. Arrangements by Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Homes, Milbridge.
