LEE – Penny L. Nash passed peacefully in her sleep July 7, 2012, at home. She was born Jan. 31, 1964, the daughter of Allan and Cherry (Trott) Nash.

In addition to her parents, Penny is survived by her sisters, Cindy (Nash) Davis and Tracy (Nash) Cormier; nieces, Megan (Ryder) Mills, Katelin Cormier, Michelle Cormier and Emily Cormier; great-niece, Trynity Mills; several aunts, uncles and cousins from Maine and Connecticut. Sadly, she is also survived by her dog, Sadie, who she loved greatly; and many close friends who she considered family. Penny was predeceased by her loving grandparents, Vinal and June Trott, and Pearl and Jane Nash, with whom she shared a special bond.

Penny was quiet, but touched many lives. She was an amazing daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Her love of animals showed in every pet she had. Penny’s big heart, bright eyes and shining smile will be missed by all who loved her.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, at Lincoln Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Shaw officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Penobscot Valley Humane Society, P.O. Box 73, Lincoln, ME 04457 or American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
