YORK, Maine — A local man is facing drug charges after a search warrant at his home turned up a large quantity of crack and cocaine on Wednesday, according to police.

York police Sgt. Thomas Cryan said Richard Carson, 47, was charged with three felonies — possession of oxycodone, trafficking in crack cocaine and furnishing of cocaine — after the raid.

Carson was taken to the York County Jail, where he remains Thursday, Cryan said. His bail has been set at $5,000 on each count.

Police are investigating the incident.

Carson faces up to 10 years in jail on the crack cocaine trafficking charge and an additional five years on the other two counts.
