CASWELL – Lanes J. Bernier, 77, died July 14, 2012, at a Madawaska health care facility. He was born Aug. 8, 1934, in Caswell, a son of Simon and Edwina (Perreault) Bernier.
Lanes worked his whole life on many local farms throughout the area and was employed in the maintenance department of Loring Air Force Base.
Lanes is survived by his wife, Aline M. (Dumond) Bernier of Caswell; one son, Rodney Bernier and his wife, Kathy, of Las Vegas; two brothers, Danny Bernier of Caswell and Nathan Bernier of Connecticut; and three sisters, Patricia Fortin and Carline Stroupe, both of Texas, and Jeannette Parent of Florida.
A graveside service will be celebrated 1 p.m. Thursday, July 19, at St. Louis Cemetery, Limestone.
