BANGOR – Rosemary A. Vardamis went home to be with the Lord, June 24, 2012.

She was a loving and supportive wife to her adoring husband of 10 years, James Vardamis. She was also a loving and compassionate mother. She was proud to be a marine in the U.S. Marine Corps and was granted an honorable discharge. Rose was baptized as an infant, but On June 19, 2012, she was able to honor the Lord through receiving the Sacraments of first communion and Holy Confirmation, which was very important to her. Rose worked for many years in the children and adolescent services at Acadia Hospital, Bangor. Working with kids brought her much joy and a great sense of fulfillment. Rose was a woman tiny in stature, yet wonderfully mighty in spirit. Throughout her life she experienced many difficult trials, yet Rose persevered through them with grace and purpose, developing great compassion which she in turn used to help others. Her kindness, quiet determination and strength of character will be remembered as an inspiration to everyone who knew her.

Donations in memory of Rose maybe made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or a children’s charity of your choice.
